The Host Memory Buffer (HMB) function uses the PCI Express Direct Memory Access (DMA) to allow SSDs to use part of the DRAM memory in the computer system, instead of requiring the SSD to carry its own DRAM.

This drive dramatically improves the responsiveness of your existing system with incredible boot, load, and transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives.

The recently updated SSD Tool Box is an application that helps users monitor the status of the SSD, providing general information such as model name, FW version, health status, drive optimization, and also detects the sensor temperature.
Additionally, users can erase all data with the Secure Erase function. You can download the SSD Tool Box from Support.

If it is intended for use as a system disk or as a backup (i.e., with a lot of continuous read/write daily), then the Gigabyte NVMe SSD 512GB M.2 PCI Express 3.0 is one of the best options. With a durability of 800TBW, it has one of the highest TBWs on the market in the PCIE GEN3 category. This was the main reason for its preference. The 5-year warranty and the high lifespan of 800TBW are clearly higher than many SSDs on the market (e.g., Samsung, WD, Kingston, Patriot, Crucial, etc.), see greater longevity of the disk over time.
I have installed one (AG4512G-SI B10) in a gaming laptop as the main (C:\) disk of the Win11 operating system, and another one in an NVMe enclosure for use as an external backup disk.
The only NVMe SSD with a longer lifespan that I have found in the same capacity and category is the WD Red with 1000TBW.
I bought the SSD for the price-to-reliability ratio. In terms of speed, I didn't notice any difference compared to the 2.5" SSD. In terms of reliability, Gigabyte offers a warranty of 300TBW or 5 years, 1,500,000 hours MTBF, which is strange because Samsung offers half the TBW for the same capacity. Also, it's not a trick like other manufacturers who claim 300TBW* but mean it for their 1TB SSDs and give 70TBW for the 256GB ones. The warranty does not apply in case of mining. The previous Kingston A400SSD 2.5" lost 20% of its health with the usage I had in 1.5 years, so I wanted something better without paying for Samsung. Another issue is that it reaches temperatures of 55 (idle) to 62, even though I have 5 fans in the case, the graphics card is idle at 50, and the CPU is idle at 38.
via CrystalDiskMark, after 500gb written, the read remained at 1700MB/s. However, the write had dropped to 60MB/s. For laughs. I sanitized the SSD and it bumped back up to 1100MB/s. After 1 month, the write speed has dropped again to around 250-300MB/s and the whole PC is dragging. Inexcusable
Fast and efficient disk, although it is a bit expensive, my computer opens in 5 seconds and loads all programs very quickly without raising the temperature
Maybe a bit pricey but it has good speeds, it hasn't given me any problems and it offers me some peace of mind due to the Gigabite name. I don't know if everyone will be as satisfied as I am, but after about six months of using it, I can't find a reason to say that I wouldn't get it again.
