I have had it for less than a year and I only use it for toast. About a month ago, it started to take a long time to toast and only toasts half of the bread. Yesterday, after using it, I wiped it with a plain kitchen paper and noticed that the coating started to come off, even though it wasn't scratched at all. It is the most useless thing there is.
The most useless thing I have bought lately. How difficult is it to make a toaster that can toast two humble sandwiches?! In order to manage to toast two sandwiches, my advice is to put them in before you leave for work in the morning and as soon as you return from work in the evening, two medium rare sandwiches will be waiting for you! It doesn't even toast upon request! I suggest for those poor souls who bought it like me the following uses:
- Warming baby milk by placing the bottle on top (don't worry, it won't burn, it will come to room temperature)
- Waist warmer if you are caught waiting above the toaster for the sandwiches to toast
- Warming motorcycle gloves before wearing them in the winter
Anyone who managed to toast two sandwiches in a reasonable amount of time with this toaster must live in the Sahara or work at Pyrex. Thank you for your time, I don't write reviews but this product simply fails to accomplish its sole mission and is completely unsuitable.
I have had it for 1.5 years with almost daily use, I am very satisfied, it is fast in cooking and easy to clean! I would buy it again!!
It evenly toasts 2 regular-sized sandwiches. The plates are easily removable for cleaning. The cord is slightly short in length. Let it work for 10 minutes before the first toasting. It has 2 large orange lights on the top. Comes with a 2-year warranty. I've had it for a few days, if any problems arise, I will come back. So far, everything is good for its price.
Very bad choice!
Although it is well-built, with ceramic plates, detachable, nice design, etc., it takes incredibly long to toast the bread...
It is brand new but I definitely need to get another one because the wait is very tiresome.
Good value for money. It takes a little longer to toast the sandwiches. The bread doesn't stick and it is easy to clean with its removable plates. It comfortably fits two sandwiches with regular bread dimensions. The best toaster I've had.
+ Small size, fits two sandwiches, removable plates, heats up quickly as long as you preheat it.
- Short cable, the coating on the plates easily comes off without any rubbing, with a sponge or knife, but this probably happens with all of them.
It turned out very good for me. When you buy a cheap product, there is a risk of it turning out bad. After three years, it's still great.
The toaster is good overall, but it takes toooo long. It needs at least five minutes of preheating to make one toast.
Perfect for its price. It does its job for students and it is very easy to clean with the removable plates. Choose it, it is very good for simple use.
Very slow toaster according to the manufacturer's instructions, you need to turn on and off the preheating light in order to put the toast, something that exceeds 15 minutes of preheating, not to mention 20/25 minutes, better + 5 to 7 minutes baking.
Stay away from this specific toaster! The problem is not the smell that some have mentioned! If you have followed the instructions for first use CORRECTLY, you have absolutely no problem! The issue is that the toaster does NOT toast! It takes horribly long! I mean, you put a slice of bread to toast, and you can easily go shopping until the afternoon and come back to see IF the slice of bread has finally toasted!!????????????! We are talking about such a DISGUSTING product! I was deceived by the famous brand and I regret it! Stay away from it, seriously! I wonder where I read good reviews, the ones that led me astray of course!!!!
The toaster is great, my sister has had it for a long time and I also got one. Absolutely no issues. It's worth the money.
I received it today and after cleaning it according to the instructions, I plugged it in.
I left it on with the plates open for 10 minutes (first use).
I unplugged it and cleaned the plates again.
Then I plugged it back in with the plates closed for preheating.
During preheating, the indicator light on the left was on. As soon as it reached the maximum temperature, the second indicator light on the right turned on.
I opened the plates and placed the sandwich inside.
After 3 to 4 minutes, it was ready.
Crispy bread on the outside and melted cheese on the inside.
Excellent result for my taste!!!
The plates are easily removable and cleanable.
It can be stored either horizontally or vertically.
The relatively small cord can be coiled.
For its price..... Lux!!!!!!
Worst purchase I could have made. The toaster simply doesn't toast. It only warms up the bread and you end up with a dough-like bread. It takes, without exaggeration, at least 10 minutes to get going. But even after theoretically heating up (because it never reaches a sufficient temperature), it is impossible to toast.
It makes very crispy toast. It is a bit slow but not excessively. I am very satisfied. Very good construction and plates that come out for cleaning. The only possibly negative thing for someone is its size and weight.
The most important thing is the excellent service with the Benroumbis guarantee. As soon as I encountered a problem and informed them via email, they called me the next day and provided a solution. Bravo to them.
I bought it yesterday and as a first impression, everything is good! I plugged it into the power for a long time twice to make it stop smelling, but unfortunately, even today on the third attempt, it continues to smell unpleasantly.
I bought this toaster with some reservations! Fortunately, though, it is perfect! Nice design, good construction, and of course, it toasts the bread well.
The truth is that before I bought it, I read all the negative reviews and honestly I hesitated with some of them, but then I said enough, it's just a toaster and I bought it. Especially with some that said that the toast doesn't fit, the toaster smells, it makes noise, it burns the bread, the cheese doesn't melt. Finally, after using it myself and following the instructions for first use, I discovered with great joy that none of these are true. It fits 2 slices of bread normally (I really don't know what kind of bread another buyer tried to fit if they said it doesn't fit bread), it doesn't make noise, it toasts the slices in a normal time for its 800W (3-4 minutes), they become crispy, it is very convenient, beautiful, and worth its money. Luckily I bought it!!!
It does what it promises, doesn't take up much space, very convenient for me to remove plates, and the fact that I could wash the plates before the first use was important to me. Even more so after cooking fatty foods. I recommend it.
For a sandwich maker, it's great, but not for a toaster. And it clearly states on the box that it's not a toaster but a sandwich maker, resulting in having a long narrow plate inside that doesn't fit the bread for toast.
It doesn't toast very quickly. Personally, I like my toast quite crispy (borderline slightly burnt) and it never reaches that point. Other than that, it's fine, plus the removable plates and the fact that it doesn't leave any residue are a plus.
Crispy toast, YES, but it takes its time (800W). A significant disadvantage - I imagine for most people - is the short cable. I mean, if they added 30-40 inches more cable, what would it cost? Anyway, for its price, it does its job just fine.
Small toaster that fits exactly two sandwiches. It toasts the sandwiches nicely and quickly, the plates seem non-stick and for this reason it is easy to clean without removing the plates. However, if needed, the plates are easily removable. The only negatives are that it smells a bit when it is working, although it may diminish after many uses, and that the cord does not have enough room to be wrapped properly for storage in an upright position.
I have it for about 2 weeks and I am satisfied. It toasts evenly and makes crispy toast. Definitely value for money. It used to smell until two days ago when it was heating up, now it stopped. It takes 3-4 minutes to heat up.
After 20 days of use, it still smells like plastic when I use it.
Also, it creaks until it warms up (I haven't figured out why).
