The best in terms of money. Stable speed and as much as the provider's in dynamic IP configuration. In PPoE, the speed is halved. The v2 has the VPN client installed, which is worth every penny and very easy, but its speed is slightly reduced. Bonus: it has 8 ports, so you can wire the whole house (duplex) and fill the spaces with the deco units, and you're good to go everywhere!
Exactly on the money for such a machine. Fast and doesn't understand anything with permanently connected: bulbs, televisions, TV boxes, radios, laptops, tablets, mobiles, printer, and Cosmote decoder with replay. The basic installation was very easy as it took PPPoE codes and address and gave 94mbps out of 98 attainable on the modem. It gave me two problems though. One had to do with ipv6 that didn't want to cooperate, I would press connect and it couldn't hold a stable IP and would disconnect every 5 minutes only to reconnect with a different address. I fixed the problem by changing from auto to dhcpv6 and after a restart, it holds the IP. The other problem is bigger as I haven't been able to solve it and it has to do with the 5Ghz WiFi. When I choose a DFS channel, the band doesn't transmit at all and I have to switch to non-DFS for it to work. It is stable with non-DFS but the advantage of these less "densely populated" channels is automatically lost. Nevertheless, the wireless speed remains stable even with a weak signal, although you probably won't often see a weak signal as the coverage is very good with beamforming and its 8 antennas. SMB server works flawlessly and quickly with a 1TB Toshiba HDD. QoS is very simplistic with profiles for a few default types of tasks, although it still does the job even at this basic level. It's nice that OpenVPN is available, which is relatively easy to set up and also works flawlessly. Parental Controls, a useful feature in a household with children, as well as antivirus with quarantine for infected devices for dad who visits these football websites and fills the tablets with viruses. Integration with Amazon Alexa for automated control as well as many other options (nat/port forwarding, virtual servers) that are now available in many models of the company. In general, if you have the money and want a router that will withstand time and that you will plug into the socket and forget it exists, this one is a very powerful choice for large homes with families.
