I received it today. The packaging is not very heavy, but it has a considerable volume. I would recommend receiving it with a car or at least a market cart with wheels if you are on foot, otherwise it will give you a hard time. I will share my relatively short experience with the dehumidifier along with some photos that might help someone who has been searching for it for a while and has been struggling with humidity for years. It will be used in a small student apartment (studio) and later in a 80-85 sq.m. house to get a more complete picture. The humidity in both of these houses is not just human, it is 70% - 75% throughout the winter. One of the two is located next to a port, so that also plays a role.
So, here's what we have to say:
1) Careful packaging, I had heard good things about it and that it has a Greek representation, but I didn't expect such attention to detail. Properly packaged, separate warranty paper from the manufacturer itself, and contact information in case you need anything. The first impression gives a sense of solid construction.
2) A plethora of functions that actually do what they say. It's not just a marketing trick! For example, in Sleep Mode, which I tried for a while, you can't hear a thing. It sounds as quiet as a 5-year-old laptop during operation, almost nothing. In this aspect, I definitely need to provide more information over time, so I will come back to it.
(Update 18/2/2021): Personally, because I fall asleep easily and wake up difficultly, the sound doesn't bother me. In fact, I got used to it in the 2 weeks. Sometimes I wake up in the morning with a dry mouth, so be careful with the settings, e.g. put it on sleep mode + Low so that it doesn't run continuously, or if you set it to Hard, it should go up to 50-55%. Generally, play with the settings, it will definitely help in the overall experience.
3) In the 3 hours that I used it in Smart Mode, it maintained the humidity at 50% without any difficulty. The discomfort of the "cold" feeling in the nose, which tickles and makes you sneeze constantly, simply disappeared. (Those who have experienced it or have allergies will understand exactly what I mean). For years, I thought it was due to dust that bothered me (or I had an allergy), even though I cleaned frequently. As soon as I got my hands on this dehumidifier, it seems that this was the problem that plagued me every morning... time will tell, of course.
4) Wheels. Small in size, discreet, well hidden at the bottom. At first, I didn't even realize they were there. I would have liked them to be twice the size so that they don't get stuck in carpets if I put them on. Nevertheless, they do their job, so they are enough for me.
(Update 18/2/2021): Many times, when I pull it from a distance, they don't seem to follow the direction I want and it goes somewhere else, so I have to get up and lift it by the handle to bring it where I want. Since it has a good handle that can withstand it and seems reliable, I don't have an issue, I just think larger and more flexible wheels would help (think office chair wheels).
(Update 18/2/2021): The container located at the back and bottom, in my case, needs to be emptied every 22-24 hours, let's say a day. Now, the settings I use are Hard, with the hygrometer stopping it at 45% and sleep mode for 7-8 hours total during our sleeping hours. On the day it snowed, for example (February 16th, Piraeus -4 degrees), we didn't turn on the heating and another dehumidifier happened to not work due to excessive cold (it had an orange indicator that explained it in the instructions). This specific Morris worked non-stop and if you went near it, you could feel the difference in dry air compared to the other rooms. One could describe it as a very cheap electric heater. Truly unbelievable!
(Update 22/9/2021): Its storage is relatively easy, and I would suggest keeping its box and the foam it contains inside the packaging for safer transportation. For example, in case you carry it downstairs to your storage or from house to house, in case of a fall, nothing will happen if it is in its packaging, just like when you bought it. It is definitely necessary in case of moving! It is quite large, and it is not easy to find a box of its size and enough foam to protect it adequately, unfortunately. Such an "expensive" machine needs the appropriate treatment to last for years, in my opinion.
I will complete the evaluation with more details as I learn about the device at 3, 6, and 12 months of use.
