In the language of Korais' era and with great formal fidelity to the original texts, -following the canon of the Jewish Bible (39 books) in the Old Testament- which makes it "classic". It served many generations of modern Greeks who did not have access to the original texts, especially before other later translations of the Holy Scriptures were published.
