The Canon XA40 camcorder features a 1/2.3 type CMOS sensor and a DIGIC DV6 image processor. Thanks to HD Oversampling processing, the result is improved Full HD image quality. Additionally, it has a lens with 20x optical zoom and a wide-angle position of 29.3mm.
The combination of a 1/2.3 type 4K CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor ensures high-quality 4K UHD images and superior Full HD images thanks to HD Oversampling processing. Recording options include XF-AVC 160 Mbps/MP4 150 Mbps at UHD 25P, XF-AVC 45 Mbps at FHD 25P/50i/50P, and MP4 17-35 Mbps at FHD 25P/50P.
Capture the images you need with 20x optical zoom and a wide viewing angle starting from 29.3mm. Stable imaging performance is ensured by dynamic 5-axis image stabilization, while the real-time 3D lens group structure supports wide-angle zoom functionality.
The XA40 includes an infrared light function, allowing users to record video with little or no ambient light. There is an option to record in white or green mode.
Work as your project demands with continuous recording capability available in slow and fast motion recording modes in UHD and Full HD, with a maximum speed of 1200x.
The XA40 model weighs less than 1.2kg and features a 3.0'' LCD touchscreen for easy operation. Additionally, this highly portable camcorder supports 4-channel Linear PCM audio, and it has a built-in stereo microphone and two XLR inputs. Other features: 3G-SDI (only on the XA45) Two SD memory cards are provided for simultaneous recording or relay recording.
