Compatible with cinema and photographic lenses

You can use commonly available photographic lenses that provide incredible creative options and wonderful high-quality cinematic lens effects. The active lens mount allows you to adjust focus and iris from the camera buttons or the touch screen. With the Pocket Cinema 6K featuring an EF lens mount, you can use lenses you already have from other cameras such as DSLR, URSA Mini Pro, or even the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera.

Post-production friendly file formats

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera records using standard open file formats, so you don't have to waste time transcoding media. The files are compatible with all post-production software, allowing you to work with the software of your choice or use the included DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Recording works in industry-standard Apple ProRes 10-bit files in all formats up to 4K or 12-bit Blackmagic RAW in all formats up to 6K. Blackmagic RAW is the fastest-growing RAW format. Developers can download and use the free Blackmagic RAW SDK to add support to their applications.

5" LCD Screen

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K features a large, bright 5-inch touchscreen that makes it easy to frame shots and focus accurately. This means you don't need to carry an external monitor! The screen overlays display status and recording parameters, histogram, focus peaking indicators, levels, frame guides, and more. You can quickly apply 3D LUTs to monitor shots with the desired color and look.

    I have it since its first week of release, always the latest update and it's the best. The photos with .dng extension and size of 31 Mb at 6144X3456, if you edit them in a program, they have very good image quality. Works very well with Premiere, with DaVinci Resolve, which comes with the package, you can achieve perfect colors. You can also attach an EF lens and you're good to go.
