The Mercusys switch is useful for creating or expanding a wired network. If the ethernet ports on your router are not enough for the wired connections of all your devices, a switch will help you. It is unmanaged, meaning it does not offer the ability to configure its settings, which also makes it more economical. It is mainly recommended for simple users who just want to expand their small, home network and for small businesses without special requirements. It has 8 ethernet ports with a maximum speed of 1Gbps.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
It's great, it does its job perfectly, personally I like it aesthetically. I have, among other things, a connected 100m cable and I didn't encounter any issues with losses or overheating of the switch due to the distance. Excellent price for a product that essentially belongs to TP-Link (Mercusys belongs to them).
Very simple, cheap, very effective. Once I installed it and connected the cables on top of it, I forgot that it even exists. No issues after a month of use.
Excellent little switch, it has been working flawlessly for a month with all ports occupied and without heating up. One positive aspect is the external power supply, which can be easily replaced if it burns out
It is super, I had one that was giving 100mbps and had a limit there. Measured by a Vodafone technician. I got this one and now it gives 200mbps.
I use the switch at home, where I use 7 out of the 8 ports (one for input, six for output), some with long cables (in two cases 10 meters). It worked fine for several months and supported long-distance connections, until it stopped working at some point (the lights stay stuck on or blink all together rapidly synchronized). I don't know if the switch or its power supply is broken, but for the 15€ I bought it, it's probably not worth bothering with.
