The 2.4" TFT color display (320 x 240 pixels), the large backlit keys, the Bluetooth connectivity, and the easy menu make it particularly user-friendly.
With MIL-STD-810G certification for drop resistance, a phonebook with multiple entries (200), standby time of up to 600 hours, talk time of up to 5 hours, speed dialing, ringtone selection, incoming call restriction, and automatic redial, it is both simple and functional!

With the loudspeaker of the KX-TU466, you will easily hear the phone when it rings, even in noisy environments.
Priority call function with open conversation.
By pressing the priority call button, a process of calling 5 pre-registered numbers in sequence starts. The function without using the headset (hands-free mode) is automatically activated. If no one answers from the call recipients, an SMS is sent with a request for help to the 5 emergency call numbers on the list.
Durability against impacts
The KX-TU466 can safely withstand falls from a height of up to 1.5 meters*, so you don't have to worry about it breaking.
* It has successfully passed a drop test according to the MIL-STD-810 standard. The test was conducted in a testing environment and, therefore, does not guarantee full protection against damage or failure of the product in the event of a phone drop.
Long battery life
The long battery life* ensures that the KX-TU466 will not run out of charge, even at the end of a day with heavy use. The operating time depends on the operating environment, battery age, and usage conditions.
* Standby time up to 600 hours. Values calculated based on GSMA TS.09 standard. The incoming call indicator and message indicator flash when there is an unanswered call or incoming message. Standby time is reduced when you let the indicator flash.

Reviews
The sound adjustment (including ringing and speaking) is located externally on the left side, where the fingers of the hand press the phone to hold it.
My elderly relatives accidentally pressed it down at first and it went on silent!! So they couldn't hear it ringing or hear the speaker.

Did you find this review helpful?A relatively user-friendly phone for the elderly, I got it for my 78-year-old mother after a prolonged unsuccessful attempt to handle an iPhone :) (although she uses an iPad).
What I have seen is that it has generally easy menus, good audio/microphone, the right size clamshell type so that buttons cannot be accidentally pressed. It also has a feature where you can send an SMS (from a pre-registered mobile number) and it sends you back the geographical location of the phone as long as it is outdoors (unfortunately, it doesn't pick up GPS signal when the phone is indoors). This feature also works when the SOS button on the back of the phone is pressed, of course, with pre-programmed phone numbers.
On the downside, the phone does NOT have speakerphone, which is a major drawback for me. It also does not have a radio (useful for the elderly), it is not 3G and basically does NOT have WIFI (which is almost irrelevant at these ages). It has a function where every time you press a number on the numeric pad, it tells you which number you pressed.. useful.. but there should be an option to turn it off! Finally, apart from the 3 dedicated buttons it has for specific "favorite" phone numbers, it also has a 4th button for the camera.. which has naturally poor resolution and quality.. it would be good if this button was customized or at least referred to SMS where the elderly mostly have issues!
Overall, it is a suitable phone for the purpose I bought it for, with a sufficient flashlight and notification lights (e.g. missed calls, SMS, battery) on the external side of the phone. It is also smart that the side buttons that control the volume most of the time have the function of quickly enlarging the font size in all the phone's menus. The charging dock that came with the packaging is also very useful, so we simply leave it to charge there.. wireless phone style..
I hope I helped in future purchases for those of you who are looking for something similar for your own :)Translated from Greek ·- Call quality

Did you find this review helpful?I bought the mobile phone for my 90+ year old father. Features such as screen resolution, etc. are irrelevant to me. I mainly got it for the built-in GPS function for safety reasons. Unfortunately, it only uses (GPS) signal from satellites, so it requires visual contact with them. It doesn't work well or at all indoors. Outdoors, it has an accuracy of about 10m. It would be very useful if it had AGPS, which utilizes the signal from the mobile network cells to work indoors. Then it would deserve 5 stars.
From the mobile menu, you can set up to 5 numbers to send location coordinates to. The process is easy by sending an SMS to the mobile. If it's not sent from a smartphone, the coordinates open directly on Google maps. If the mobile is indoors and doesn't have GPS signal, a message is received (GPS position failed).
There is also an SOS button where you can set predefined phone numbers. Once pressed for 3 seconds, it immediately calls the predefined number, sends an SMS that you can customize, and sends a location stamp.
It has a very good construction with large buttons.
Easy menu with good Greek language. Very basic, suitable for people without a tendency towards technology. I think cheaper no-name mobiles for the elderly have a more complicated menu and poor Greek translations.Ability to adjust the font size. Very readable even in the smallest setting.
It charges on a base, which is convenient for older people instead of searching for how to insert the micro USB port. However, there is also a micro USB port.
It accepts an SD card up to 32 GB, I think. You can store photos and videos on it. You can display a photo of the caller if you have it saved.
There are 3 separate buttons (I, II, & III) for speed dialing on the front. Additionally, numbers can be assigned to the 0-9 buttons for speed dialing.
The flap helps prevent accidental button presses. Ability to answer a call by opening it and end it by closing the flap.
I hope I helped if someone is specifically looking for a phone for older people.
