So far it seems fine. The rod needs to be extended about 3-4 centimeters longer than the distance between the two walls, then it compresses and fits quite securely. There doesn't seem to be a serious risk of it falling on its own or if the curtain is pulled. Definitely much better than the classic ones that cost 5-10 euros and simply suction onto the wall. If by any chance we open it more than necessary, then we simply loosen it completely and assemble it again.
