Good construction indeed, it measures relatively quickly and accurately. I made the mistake of washing it completely because I touched raw chicken and it stopped working.

Edit. After market research, I ended up with an Eti thermometer and that's when I understood what fast measurement means. As soon as you pierce it, the measurement comes out directly, and not gradually like the proficook did

The screen becomes blurry, making it not distinguishable, and it constantly stops working because moisture gets trapped inside. It seems high-quality at first, but problems start arising after a few uses. I would not recommend it

It simply died and never opened again, it made a total of less than 40 measurements.
Initially, it started with some glitches like pressing the button and it not opening, showing some hieroglyphics for measurement, and my mind went to the batteries being the problem. Buying new ones, I realized that they were not the issue.
To change the batteries is quite difficult, as the first move you make is to lightly hit it in the hope that they will come out... well, this can be fatal for the measuring instrument.

The first time it simply never worked and the second time, when they replaced it from the store where I bought it, it worked for a short period of time. The measurements did not seem to have enough accuracy after tests I conducted (4-8 degrees off for sure, as it was used in a professional kitchen) and it broke in a very short period of time. Both in terms of its functionality and accuracy. From a certain point onwards, the measurements were not even close to reality.

I am very satisfied, I bought one for my best man (Thanos) who is a chef and we found that it is fast and with very accurate measurements. It includes the batteries. Quality and sturdy construction made of stainless steel, tested successfully in both low and high temperatures. Nice bright blue screen and makes a sound when the measurement is locked. We even measured body temperature and saw that it doesn't lose at all. (Underarm and mouth). I have nothing else to say. Super value for money.

P.S. After a few days, I got jealous and bought one for myself too.

Beautiful appearance. It does its job very well. I like that the tip is even thinner, making it easier to handle thinner and smaller pieces of meat. The only negative is that it doesn't have a sound notification feature in case you want to cook meat to a specific temperature and can't be constantly monitoring it. And as soon as the notification goes off, you know that it has reached the desired temperature. Of course, this is not a serious negative and it doesn't bother me at all, but it needed to be mentioned because it might matter to some people. As you can understand, I use it for cooking meat.

Update 21/4/2021: After a year, it continues to work fine without any issues. I recently changed the batteries (one year after purchase). I don't use it excessively, nor on a daily basis. It seemed like the batteries ran out quite quickly. I don't know if this is because the thermometer consumes a lot of battery or if the specific batteries that came with the package were not good. But it's not a big deal. It's not a problem to change batteries once a year.

One problem I found is that at the battery compartment, there is a small piece of iron that gets in the way and makes it difficult to remove the batteries. I needed a pair of pliers to hold the batteries and take them out. But again, this is not a major negative. It just seems strange the way they designed it.

Overall, it is very good. If it breaks, I will hardly choose another one. It is very likely that I will buy the same one again.
