  I went to buy the Nio and the saleswoman insisted that I try this and La Capital. I smelled them from the bottle and they weren't to my taste. She gave me two samples and after a few days, I decided to try them. The 40 Knobs indeed has incredible quality when you put it on the skin, but you wouldn't call it summery or airy, nor did it give me any aquatic style like oud mineral, for example. It's more woody amber spicy. I would say to try it in person, not a blind buy; it's not an easy fragrance for the masses. Those of you who have quite a few niche fragrances, I believe you will like it because it has a profile that you will hardly find elsewhere.
