Of course, the Philips is also 50-60 euros more expensive, but it is much more powerful than the AEG, it sucks up much more dust than the AEG, especially on carpets/rugs, the Philips effortlessly vacuums them. I have encountered two negatives in the two months that I have had the vacuum cleaner: it is quite noisy, reminiscent of the old good "mom's" electric ones, and the hose is somewhat inflexible for me. In all other aspects, it is excellent for its price. Obviously, if you can afford it, you should get something better and more powerful because you almost always get what you pay for!

Cons: 1. The hose is not telescopic, so it is not flexible.
2. The position where the brush goes vertically into the vacuum cleaner for storage is quite low and the vacuum cleaner is small, so it does not fit properly.
3. Long hairs do not go into the dustbin, but get tangled in the cone (these two are separated only by a plastic), so they need to be untangled.

This particular model (FC9555/09) has a pet hair attachment instead of the classic furniture attachment, which is very useful. The attachments clip on, detach, and clean very easily (even with one hand), the construction seems to be of good quality, and it is quite lightweight. There is a little attention needed when attaching/detaching the dustbin for emptying (only when it is lying flat) as it may spill dust on the floor again.
I personally did not have any difficulty with the cord and hose, as other users have mentioned.
It pleasantly surprised me the third time I used it, where even though the floor seemed clean from the previous day's use, it collected a lot of dust (I live next to a main road and if I have the windows open, there is a lot of dust, plus I have a large dog, so I am constantly cleaning). It was the first time that the mopping water remained relatively clean!

With this vacuum cleaner, I cleaned my house after renovation (basically dust from walls and materials such as plaster, dirt, etc.) and it was perfect. Of course, I made sure to clean the filters every few days and when I finished cleaning the house, I replaced them (around 18 euros if I remember correctly) and it is as good as the first day!
