Overpriced for what it offers. I compare it to a guy laroche folding umbrella with auto-close, which I have had for about 10 years. When I close it, the guy laroche gathers more (smaller size, fits comfortably in my messenger bag) with about an 8cm difference from the blunt. While when I open it, the guy laroche extends further (larger surface area for support) than the blunt. This is probably because the guy laroche has 3 pieces in its folding mechanism, compared to the blunt's 2. Perhaps the 2 broken pieces of the blunt make it stronger in stronger winds, which it also advertises (fewer weak points). The majority of the guy laroche's ribs create a larger fabric surface area and protection from rain, compared to the unique design of the blunt with fewer ribs, which slightly reduces the fabric surface area (although enough to let more drops through). Although the metal ribs of the guy laroche have shown signs of rust after about 10 years of rain, something I don't think the fiberglass ribs of the blunt will ever show. If you add the automatic closing feature of the guy laroche, which, don't be fooled... it doesn't close the entire umbrella, it just forcefully shakes off the water so you can close it less wet. I can't justify paying almost 3 times the price for it. The materials and construction quality of it seem very good. Personally, I returned it and wouldn't recommend it for purchase. After this, I ordered a Knirps.
I received it a few days ago.
I will come back with a new review if I need to correct something, which I hope and believe I won't.
Before purchasing it, I watched a YouTube video where it was tested under artificial conditions of 90 kilometers per hour wind intensity.
It not only withstood without breaking, but it didn't even fold. I recommend you to watch it.
I got it to last. I believe that in a few months, I will understand if it was worth 100% of its price. It is definitely an investment.
