Weak machine. For its price, it's good.
It won't cut ham because the meat is quite wet and it struggles, it "chews" it, the knife drags it and squeezes it at the bottom... It will make it thick in some parts, thin in others, and it will break it apart in others. It's impossible to slice feta cheese like the one from the market. It will work fine with harder cold cuts (air-dried, etc.) that may have a little more thickness.
I didn't try yellow cheeses. I imagine it won't manage with Gouda, but it will with Gruyere.
It won't achieve uniform thickness because the cutting surface sinks. It doesn't require much pressure to prevent it from sinking, but without enough pressure, it won't cut thin slices.
Cleaning, as others say, is a bit difficult. I expected to manage it, but it turns out there is an issue. Pieces get stuck in areas where you have no access. You lift the machine and hit it to make the pieces fall.
I would buy it again because of the price, but only for dry foods.
Very good job. Patience in cleaning it. Personally, I cut smoked steak. But also sometimes cheese and bread. Don't force it, read the instructions carefully.
It is very affordable so you can't expect much. The main disadvantage is that as you press to cut, the plastic height adjustment base gives way, resulting in not cutting at the desired thickness and the movement not being stable. Cleaning is very difficult if you want to avoid residue.
