Stop wishing.
Start doing.
Throughout your life, you've had parents, coaches, teachers, friends, and mentors urging you to drop the excuses and overcome your fears. What if the secret to finding the confidence to elevate your life and career lies in knowing how to encourage yourself?
Using the science of "habits," gripping human stories, and compelling evidence from significant historical events, art, and business, Mel Robbins explains the power of a "push moment." She then provides a simple tool that will help you bring out your best self.
It only takes 5 Seconds to use this tool, and every time you do, you'll know it's like having an excellent advisor by your side.
In The 5 Second Rule, you'll discover that it takes just 5 seconds to:
- Gain confidence.
- Stop procrastination and self-doubt.
- Beat fear and uncertainty.
- Stop worrying and feel happier.
- Share your ideas fearlessly.
The secret isn't knowing what to do... it's knowing how to make yourself do it.
More than 8 million people have watched Mel Robbins' TEDx talk, and executives from the world's largest companies use this tool to increase productivity, improve collaboration, and commit to achieving goals.

Interesting tool the rule but could be analyzed in 10 pages. The author simply seeks how to fill a book, saying the same things over and over again and repeating sentences without substance.
The book, as mentioned by previous reviewers, is indeed easy to read but at the same time it is drowned in posts and user comments that supposedly found the rule useful. However, for me, the language it uses makes the book so off-putting. It tries to convince you of how useful, innovative, and effective the rule is, and tries to persuade you that if you don't use it, your life will spiral downwards, in other words, it attempts to manipulate you in a way that I could say is quite manipulative about how effective its method is. Essentially, the whole book is about something completely baseless, which, as someone else mentioned, could have been a simple article.
Very tiring! It repeats many times and the numerous examples it contains are tiresome, resulting in forgetting what they refer to.
The only positive thing is that it is easy to read. It has many posts from social media of people who supposedly improved their lives, which tires you. Also, the reference to science is minimal, constantly repeating itself trying to fill the pages without saying anything substantial. Finally, it does not explain exactly how to implement this rule. The whole book could have been a 2-3 page article without having to waste so much time for no reason
