The G.SKILL TridentX series is known as the most powerful and fastest DDR3 memory in the world available on the market with many world record titles under its belt. It is infused with overclocking capabilities waiting to be unleashed in your system.
The TridentX series features a removable heat spreader fin to enhance your cooling options. With the heat spreader fin, the increased surface area helps keep the memory cooler. On the other hand, with a system that already has an adequate cooling solution, the fins can be removed to accommodate massive CPU coolers or other custom cooling solutions. Refer to the user guide below.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Although I haven't been able to run them at their maximum MHz due to my motherboard, which doesn't go that high, they generally function stably as long as they are in dual channel and not mixed with others. I ran them for a long period of time together with the G.Skill RipjawsX 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 2133 CL9-11-9-28 Red, and even though the capacity and timings were different, they didn't seem to slow them down. In the end, I ended up getting a set of four (4x8gb) for a total of 32gb and I run them at a command rate of 2T with a frequency of 685.4 MHz and CL9-11-9-28. I recommend them.

while the kit isn't bad if you don't care about overclocking, I don't know why its price has increased so much. the kit is Samsung as far as I know, these don't scale well with voltage. The G.Skill Sniper might scale better with voltage, but I haven't tried them. in short, if the goal is to overclock above 2400, I don't think this kit is worth it.
I bought a second set of 2x8 gigabytes, totaling 32 gigabytes of RAM, for my Asus Z97 Deluxe motherboard and they run flawlessly with a Command Rate of 1T! These memories are awesome, fast, stable, and have a G.Skill warranty.
I have had them for 3 years and they have not presented me with any problems at all. Even when I tried to stream, I managed at a very decent level. They are worth their money!
There is no other set of RAM DDR3 16GB that consists of 2 modules, runs at 2400Mhz, and has CAS Latency 10 (at least here on skroutz). All the corresponding ones have CAS Latency 11 and above.
So we are talking about the best memory available in its category.
The price/performance ratio is very good. It is one of the cheapest 16GB (2x8GB) kits with CL10. The immediately following one with the same characteristics is considerably more expensive.
The red heatsink on the top is detachable, so if someone has a problem with the height of the memory, they can simply remove a screw and immediately they are much shorter.
The heatsinks themselves are very good. They keep temperatures at very good levels. Compared to Corsair Vengeance 1600, they are considerably cooler.
I didn't look into overclocking them much. The timings don't decrease at 2400, and with the factory voltage, they go to about 2500-2520MHz without changing the timings.
These specific ones, when there are only 2 x 8 on the motherboard, play with 1T, but when you have 4, it requires 2T.
Maybe they don't overclock, but already 2400 is not at all low, and it doesn't make much sense for someone to go for more. The difference between 1600 and 2400 is much smaller than, for example, 2400 to 2800.
Top in everything, flawless!
The ultimate weapon of speed.
