This review is about the maximum cutting diameter: 30 mm

This is the model KV 310. Purchased from an online store in October 2024. So far, it has been very expensive compared to the competition from Chinese brands. Its price averaged around €300. Now it is being sold on sale by some stores at the price of €155. I consider it a great opportunity for anyone wanting a quality and branded pair of scissors. Since the time I have had it is short, I will evaluate it with some reservations and will form my final evaluation over time.
    General information:
Like most European companies, they manufacture their products in China, and the Italian Volpi, in collaboration with Kamikaze, produces the Kamikaze-Volpi KV 310 scissors in China. Of course, the specifications include high standards for the product to safeguard the quality, reliability, and prestige of Volpi.
Positive aspects: The scissors are fast, sturdy, and of high quality. The handle is soft with a velvety feel. It balances very well in the hand. It is lightweight and does not tire you out. Also, the cuts are smooth and do not crush the wood. It has power and cuts anything that fits in its opening. It has progressive cutting and also multiple options for the opening percentage. I did not see this mentioned anywhere, but while examining it, I discovered it. The opening selection is achieved with the progressive cut. As we press the trigger, we stabilize it at the desired opening size, and in a few seconds, a beep is heard. Then the scissors will operate with that opening. If we want to change the opening, we stabilize it at the desired opening for a few seconds, and the opening has changed.
    Negative aspects:
Despite all its positive features, this particular pair of scissors falls short in opening size. Imagine that the simple manual ARS scissors I have have a larger opening. While most sites mention an opening size of 30 millimeters, in reality, its comfortable use is up to 25 millimeters. Beyond that, the wood slips out, and it kicks your hand. Therefore, it does not cut wood with a diameter over 25 millimeters, and its use on olive trees for cutting thicker branches requires a second tool.
Also, if you want to extend it to cut branches at a greater height, unfortunately, it will disappoint you because it does not accept an extension.
    Conclusion:
The scissors are excellent for cuts up to 25 millimeters. For vineyards, I think it is ideal. For olives, it is quite good for fine and thinner branches. Its price at this time is very attractive, and for this reason, I rated it with five stars and consider it an opportunity to acquire it.

    Verified purchase

This review is about a variation of the product

The specific scissors, the company lowered it to 32mm... While in the presentation everywhere they have it at 35mm... It would be good to communicate with the store and ask if it is with the 32mm black blade (titan) or with the silver 35mm... See photo... On the volpi website, they have it with the BLACK one. At 32mm... And probably the reason I believe they lowered it to 32 is because of the motor...
    size...
    weight.
the opening was too big... And probably it struggled because it is also one of the fastest in its category... I will work with it and I will come back... One of the reasons for choosing it was its opening... You might say for 3mm... YES for the 3mm... The 5 stars are symbolic... Thank you

For its price, it is a good choice. We have used 2 of these and 1 Stihl, but this one also has many disadvantages

After two years of completely amateur but also very careful use, it started making 5 short beeps and stopped working! At the official service and after paying 170 euros, it continued to have the same problems! I'm afraid to send it for repair again because at some point I have to stop wasting money!!! Money thrown away!!! Stay away!!!

Value for money, I have had it for 2 years for professional use in a vineyard and it is excellent. Battery life is 2-3 hours each.

Battery life is approximately 2.5 hours per battery or 140-150 puffs. It is very good ergonomically and easy to maintain. It is perfect for vineyards, but not suitable for trees due to its narrow opening. It is excellent value for money

I have been using it for 3 days, the battery lasts with one charge and 3 LEDs so far with 20 hours of work and still has 1 LED, it cuts everything it touches (peaches), the strap has proper distribution, the case is full, the weight (800g) is an issue and even though it could be lighter, it doesn't exist.

On 3/10/19, the battery lasted over 25 hours but when the light turned red, it turned off within 2 hours with power until the end. The progressive cutting does not work perfectly as the trigger - possibly magnetic - has high sensitivity and when you touch it, it almost stops.
