The AE109² is designed to deliver effortless, room-filling performance from a slim floor-standing speaker, similar to that offered by the globally acclaimed AE109 over 20 years ago. For this, two 130 mm paper drivers are used in conjunction with a 25 mm soft dome tweeter. The 2.5-way crossover features a unique topology that allows for integration and power handling capability that was previously unattainable for this type of speaker. Particular attention has been paid to phase and time alignment for the most coherent performance. Like the AE100² speaker, the driver and crossover are housed within a substantial 15 mm HDF cabinet that takes stylistic cues from the award-winning 500 series. The result is an audio product with clean and sleek lines that can deliver the immersive and powerful presentation that Acoustic Energy owners expect. Finishes available in black and walnut vinyl.
