It's great, I've had it for over 5 years and it hasn't had any issues. I wonder why some people see it as a negative that it has a plastic handle instead of a glass one!!!! What would you gain if it were glass? It would just be heavier and, most importantly, what would you do if it broke? In its favor, the fact that it is open at the bottom allows you to use a larger bulb, just like I have done.
