I did extensive market research, I was troubled by the longevity of many perfumes while also wanting something that makes a difference but lasts for hours. And just when I had tried I don’t even know how many fragrances and ultimately ended up back at the elixir, even though it made a difference when worn, I thought as a last resort, let me try the leather to see how it goes.. the saleswoman warned me that it’s very unique and borderline unbearable, I said okay, let’s put it on the paper and see. I left the store and couldn’t stop smelling it. I left the paper at home, went and did my errands, came back after 8 hours, and upon entering my room, there was a diffused scent! I went and tried it on myself, and it was as if the leather transformed into something sweet and seductive that teased my brain and was extremely addictive. A heavy fragrance for the cold months, which smells exactly like what it says, leather. I would say like a freshly cleaned leather car seat. When it sits on your skin for a while, it leaves a sweeter note. Nevertheless, it is quite a unique scent and not so easy to wear because you have to like this specific category. Therefore, while it is quality, long-lasting, it is controversial for everyone. It is not a fragrance that will appeal to many. In no case a blind buy. However, it is worth a try. If you want something easier and sweeter but still leather-based, go for the new d'ombre leather on the market. Finally, yes, classically a bit pricey, but for this particular house, it is value for money for its quality and uniqueness.

Without having the largest collection of perfumes, this one stands out by far. When you put it on, the smell of leather dominates, but as time passes, it changes and adopts a floral yet masculine scent. Personally, it lasts on my skin for more than 10 hours (I had put it on for testing at 9 p.m. and I could still smell it the next morning at 11). I tried it on the paper strip and I completely disliked it. Nevertheless, I told the girl to put it on my hand as well. And there was no particular feeling there. It smelled like a leather jacket. Eventually, I bought another scent. I returned home after an hour and smelled my hand again. That was it. I immediately returned to the store to make the exchange. The scent is just unbeatable. It needs its time on your skin to bring out the right intensity and the right smell. You definitely haven't worn a similar scent before. Its duration is satisfactory. This fragrance is, in my opinion, a masterpiece of perfumery and is one of the scents that has remained to remind us of the TF house when it was run by Tom. It flirts between designer and niche fragrance and in my view, it is of niche quality (=among other things, unique and not liked by everyone). Leather dominates, so it is worn (not necessarily) on cooler days, it is not really suitable for morning unless you apply a little. At the first opening, leather prevails which gradually softens as cardamom, jasmine, and finally patchouli come in at the base. Therefore, after the first hour when it sweetens, you have leather, patchouli, and cardamom. The way it is constructed, that it doesn't smell synthetic and that it has good performance, with these materials, makes it an amazing fragrance! Note that the parfum is softer even though it has more oils and slightly lower performance.
Now regarding this fragrance in terms of compliments, as it is reasonable for anyone to buy TF to receive effortless compliments. It is not for untrained noses, it is a very unique scent, most will wonder "what am I smelling and how do some people like it?," it appeals to a small crowd like all leather fragrances and as far as I've observed, it is not liked by most women, who prefer softer, floral, or sweet scents. Try it before you buy it, otherwise, you will probably regret it, but if you try it and like it, get it! Just know that it will appeal to very few people, very few will tell you it's a nice fragrance. This is the essence of the fragrance for me, we wear what we like and support it, even if it is only liked by us.

Unfortunately, no matter how many times I smell this fragrance, I can't understand what exactly people who wear it like about it. Leather and plastic smell like the one you get when you open the windows and leave them open all night to air out. Good longevity, but if the same scent was released by a No name brand, the majority would criticize it. As time passes, the flowers give off an airy aura, as if the leather has gently embraced a field of violets and jasmine. The dry down reminds me of "sweet sand". Not for me, I prefer leather worn, an extension of the genuine masculine scent of a biker leather jacket, like Gucci Guilty Absolute, Dark Rebel Rider, and Dior Fahrenheit do so well. I have it. It lasted on my skin for 24 hours without exaggeration with just 2 sprays after a swim in the sea and washing with shower gel. That's enough. I thought "it won't smell anything anymore". My confidence was shattered. Its scent and intensity did not change at all. It fills the whole house with just two sprays. I'm not an expert in fragrances to talk about notes. Of course, even if you're a beginner, the note of leather dominates for the first 20 minutes. But it's a hint of high-quality leather. Then, gradually, cardamom and the other listed notes come into play, but the leather never fades and adorns this versatile fragrance that you can wear even with casual clothes, although it suits leather clothes (what did you just say) and generally more formal attire. Smelling elegant doesn't necessarily have to be paired with the clothes you wear. It is suitable for all seasons (personally, I wear heavy fragrances all year round). It is a unique fragrance, no doubt about it. You will either love it or hate it. In my opinion, it is suitable for men, although it is classified as unisex. I'm 19 and I wear it. Of course, it may suit those in their mid-twenties and above. It captivates everyone as it portrays a leader, powerful and earthy man. You won't go unnoticed with this fragrance (in a positive way). You will definitely receive compliments (I have received them), but wear the fragrance because you like it, not for compliments from the opposite sex. After all, fragrance is a matter of taste. It is a fragrance that if you don't love it, you will leave it aside. It's not the most pleasant fragrance, but its scent is simply addictive, guys. Its longevity and sillage are dreamy. Of course, it depends on each individual's skin, but generally, it will last and "suffocate people". It is a unique fragrance and most likely you won't hear things like "This fragrance reminds me of something". However, regardless, TRY IT FIRST - NOT BLIND-BUY LEATHER FRAGRANCES. Although it is a bit pricey - after all, it's a Tom Ford fragrance, right? - you can find it on sale at well-known chains for 100€ for 100 ml. Guys, to avoid confusion, the version with the black bottle refers to the classic eau de PARFUM version of the fragrance. The pure parfum version has a black bottle with a white frame on the side. The two fragrances are not exactly the same, with a slight difference in concentration. The Pure parfum differs partially in terms of scent, leaning towards a more bitter direction compared to the eau de PARFUM, which has a sweeter character. The iris root combined with tobacco in the base partially changes the tone of the fragrance. A one vs one test is ideal to choose which one suits you better. Both are excellent, though.
