Excellent construction quality but it could be sold cheaper, hence the 4 stars.
I was in a dilemma about whether to give it 2 or 3 stars, in the end I gave it 2 for the following reasons.
First of all, let me say that it is 2024 and its price is the same and has not changed since the Playstation 4 was first released... 60+ euros personally do not deserve for a previous generation controller in 2024, but ok... Now, their main problem is that they are defective. I have changed, I don't remember how many dualshock 4 controllers because of the analog sticks that after some time present the so-called "drift" meaning for example you press the stick to go right and it goes somewhere else. With the amount of money I have spent on all the dualshock 4 controllers, I could have bought a very good graphics card to build a PC. I must say that analog drift is not exclusively a Sony or dualshock 4 issue. Basically all controllers with analog sticks are susceptible to drift. Nintendo switch/xbox etc... I also have to say that I don't play occasionally. I use the controllers a lot, and especially when playing games that require constantly pressing the sticks, they break even faster. 2024 and I still buy controllers... I have bought a dualshock 4 and it broke within about a month and they didn't replace it. Apart from the drift they usually don't have other issues, but in an old dualshock 4 controller that I had, the texture had changed from the stick due to heavy use, it slipped more than a new controller. Always ask how much, and if the controller has a warranty before buying it, not only for dualshock 4 but for all controllers you will buy in the future, especially in case of analog drift. If you don't want to pay ridiculous amounts of money to Sony, then the other solution is to learn how to repair them yourself...
There at Sony, they are stealing from us. I've had it for 1 year and the stick drift has started, and now the remote control doesn't work unless it is always connected with a cable
First time I bought an Original Ps4 Controller for the Ps4 Pro, everything is good so far I hope it doesn't get "stick drift" ??
Its ergonomics are excellent, providing comfort even after hours of gaming. The buttons and sticks are very responsive and precise, making the gaming experience even more enjoyable.
Although I was a bit late, after about 10 years of use, I believe I have a complete opinion on this. Initially, I have larger fingers than average, so the controller seemed small to me, but overall it is quite comfortable in the hands. Also, its build quality is the best; it has endured pressure from high altitudes and hasn't suffered a scratch. Now let's get to the key question: is it worth the money? The answer is conditional; if you are a collector or plan to keep your PS4 for several more years, I think it is worth it, but if you don't care much about build quality and don't need the original devices, then you can buy one for €15 that will do the job decently, especially for its price
Classic and high quality. I also didn't expect this color to be so nice in person. There is also an Unboxing for this one at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJIiPph9sYY
The controller was initially very good. And after about 6 months of use, it started to have stick drift on the right joystick upwards, it is very intense and cannot be fixed by me in any case. The original controllers I have never had such a big problem for 5 years.
It is the same as the controller that comes with the console when you buy it. It is of great quality and has excellent handling. The best wireless controller for the PS4, it truly deserves it, it is perfect and if you have a console with one controller, get it for sure!
Very good controller for its price but also much more convenient (in my opinion) than other controllers I have played with. The buttons generally do not make noise and do not easily break, just like the whole controller if it is not subjected to excessive force systematically.
Overall, it is a very good controller and even though I have had it since 2019, it has not experienced any issues.
It broke within three months, the joystick got stuck and moves on its own, even though I didn't use it excessively. You should get something more authentic to last longer, in the end it holds up as much as monkeys.
In a few months, the left joystick broke. It's stuck and moves upwards without even touching it (for example, in NBA where the player moves upwards without touching the joystick).... (Without any rough handling)... I have two other joysticks that I got with the PlayStation and they haven't had any issues
It is a quite quality and durable controller.
Within a month, it broke. You press one button and another one works! It randomly selects on the screen... it's all over the place...
Without mishandling it, in 8 months the left lever constantly moves the character of the games forward.
Literally, it has not fallen down even once and 6 months after purchasing it, the left lever decides to break and only go forward. This is not the first time it has happened and I am forced to buy a new controller every 6 months because each one breaks in a different way. Simply unacceptable
The left lever broke in 2 months. 60 euros wasted. I could have bought 3 controllers for 20 euros each and they would have lasted me a year
My left lever broke in 3 months, I didn't buy it from skroutz but from another store and it wasn't worth 60 euros.
Sony should be ashamed. I'm almost certain they're doing it on purpose, there's no way they haven't realized it since Warzone has been around since 2019. Those who play Call of Duty already understand what I'm talking about, but for those who don't know, tactical sprint is a new basic movement that requires you to press the L3 joystick twice as you push it forward so that the character runs at a faster speed for a very short period of time. Well, after 2 months, the sensor is probably wearing out too much, resulting in no good contact at all. I've had to change 4 controllers in a year and a half, which I find downright ridiculous and unacceptable. Only a few companies do such scams, congratulations to Sony for finding new ways with Activision to suck money out of gamers.
I've had them since 2018...especially the black ones, I've worn them out with countless hours of gaming during quarantine. They've fallen several times and so far they haven't had the slightest problem. All buttons and joysticks work perfectly, as well as their battery! The price is indeed steep, but really, they've left me fully satisfied for 4-5 years. My advice is if someone wants to buy a controller, it's better to get a used Sony one for around €30 than some cheap new imitation.
The worst thing about the worst console (PS4 slim) is that it doesn't last even 6 months and nobody can tell me otherwise. Without drops and generally with care, the right analog constantly breaks down, after 4 I recommend and I can't believe I'm writing this, the Razer Raiju for a somewhat economical price at 120 euros, with uninterrupted use for 2+ years and everything is fine. Finally, enough with Sony's mockery.
I've had it for 5+ months and it hasn't had any drift or scratches. Plus, it's fallen down twice and still works perfectly. It's very comfortable, lightweight, and has great Bluetooth quality. I bought it for my PC and it works just as well on my PS4. It's great for games like Fortnite, Rocket League, God Of War, etc. and I highly recommend it.
Update: I forgot to mention that you need a cable and Steam to connect it to your PC so that the buttons on the controller are recognized. I don't know about you, but that's how I did it.
It's gorgeous in red and with Sony, you know what you're getting. -1 ☆ because the price never goes down!!!
Really poor quality, within 5 months of purchase the R3 of the joystick started malfunctioning, resulting in my character not being able to sprint properly in FPS games. I can't understand why such a big company would have such bad quality.
Pedea is simply perfect, ultra-light and expensive, just like the controllers that come with it. It's simply top-notch.
When I bought my PS4 in 2014, it came with its controller. It worked perfectly for 4-5 years, and I didn't even know what analog drift was. But since '19, I need a new controller every semester. The problem always comes from the joysticks. They either do it on purpose to make you buy the PS5, or they just want your money every 6-8 months when the joysticks start acting up. Naturally, the L3 and R3 buttons work, but only temporarily. The quality of the controller is a real shame for the 60€ price tag.
Well, my controllers broke because of the so-called "Rage", but let's talk about their durability...I've had the PlayStation 4 since 2016 (I also had the ps1, ps2, and ps3). The 2 controllers that came with the package (one black and one clear white) lasted me many years!!! After 4 years in 2021, they started to have some problems with the buttons and joysticks, meaning that R3, L3, L2, R2, X, etc. didn't work properly, but that's logical because I personally wore them out. The issue is that 60€ is too much for these controllers, but if you want good and durable ones that will last you many years, get these and not something else for 10€ or 20€ because those are just to fool people!!! I had those too and they lasted only a week...and I'm telling you this as someone who was on the PS all day long. So, Sony's controllers are WORTH IT! despite the high price, but you get what you pay for. That's all, have a good one!
If it had a better price, I would rate it better, its price is higher than the dualsense of the ps5.
I have had the PS4 since 2015 and I did not get the slim or the pro, so I did not have the V2 to compare them, but in terms of quality and durability, I think the old one wins because since I have had it, it is in perfect condition and I have not changed anything
I have changed 3 controllers since I bought it in 2019. All of them suffer from stick drift after 1-1.5 years. The price has been stagnant at 60 euros for 9 years.
At first, I gave it 5 stars, but then I discovered the worldwide problem with Sony's L1 joystick, which Sony has been unable to fix for years. If you hold down this specific joystick for running or anything in games, don't buy it, you will definitely face the same problem, the joystick comes off, I've heard it from everyone I talk to. The problem is only solved with the Sony Dualshock 4 Back Button Attachment Kit, so that you don't use the L1 joystick as a button, which costs an additional €35. Normally it's zero stars, but I gave it 2 for the excellent service of Skroutz's replacement.
Very good lever. You really feel something premium holding it. The don't move motion is amazing in games like Until Dawn. The plastic feels sturdy, it looks like you paid for something good. Basically, I don't have anything negative to say, except for the unacceptable price of a previous generation controller. The PS5 controller with adaptive triggers currently costs between 45 and 55, while the PS4 controller costs 65.
Update: 11/11/22
It still plays like the first day. Now that the price has dropped to 50, it's worth having a second controller.
