THE FINAL BLOW:
September 13, 1918: Corto Maltese is in a British fortress in the desert, not far from the shores of Somalia... World War I is coming to an end and Corto has a serious dispute with the commander of the fortress, Captain Brandt, a rigid British officer rumored to be a coward. Brandt, who loves the poetry of Arthur Rimbaud, mistreats the warrior Kas whom Corto defends.
