Coming from fresh coffee beans, roasted 4-5 days before purchase and consumption, I decided to try the super crema since it received great reviews on a well-known American website. That's when I realized that Americans don't know good espresso. The coffee has 750 ratings on the American site, with 730 being 5/5.
First of all, I have to say that the coffee consists of 60% Arabica and 40% Robusta. This means that since it has Robusta inside, its taste will be much stronger... And it will have a lot more caffeine. Also, Robusta creates a long-lasting crema. As for the taste, it didn't impress me, but it wasn't bad either. In fact, it seemed very familiar to me, as almost all coffee shops use blends with Robusta inside, since it is a cheaper variety and produces crema. The appearance and body of the coffee are great. But it's the taste that ultimately matters. So, 4 stars from me. It's just a good coffee for €18. For those who want to experiment with good fresh coffees, as I mentioned at the beginning, try "taresso" or "taf," which are cup of excellence blends, meaning they are of the highest quality in the world. and grinder: Mignon ZeroThe coffee is slightly aromatic when brewed and may lose some of its aromas when used for making iced coffee. After the first few minutes, this fades away and some people may not like it. However, I found it to be a very honest coffee for its price. Rich body, infinite crema to the point where with 20g of coffee it barely fills a 70ml cup, while the scale works perfectly and shows 40-45ml!
I recommend it for tasting. I'm not sure if I would buy it again as there are clearly better coffees for 10 euros more (see Hausbrandt 28-29e/kg or more sophisticated ones like Taresso Trigato). In the phase I am in as a student, it is value for money and worth it because with 2 coffees per day (20g + 20g) it lasts you 25 days, almost a month. If you are looking for the perfect coffee, whatever that means to each person, it will not satisfy you. If you have just bought an espresso machine and are looking for your first/second coffee to try different flavors and aromas, get it with your eyes closed. It should be noted that the packaging has a roasting date exactly 6 months ago, so we are not talking about the freshest one someone could get, in supermarkets you can find fresher ones with 3-3.5 months on the shelf.
I will come back as I have bought 2kg to complete the evaluation as I discover it daily.

First of all, it is very important to know what purpose the coffee you are buying serves!
It is also very important what you like in coffee. Some people like strong coffee, others like it bitter, others like it light, etc.
Starting with that, my review is based on my own preferences:
1) It should be strong (rich-bodied) and not become watery after drinking 80% Freddo Espresso and 20% cappuccino.
2) It should be aromatic.
3) It should have a moderate bitterness.
4) It should not have fruity or sweet notes. It should lean towards cocoa or hazelnut.
5) It should be "consistent". It should not lose its quality quickly and there should be consistency from bag to bag.
This specific coffee has the following positives:
- It is an incredibly consistent coffee. I have never seen this with coffee before, from the first to the last day, the grinder does not need adjustment and it mostly has a consistent flow.
- It is a strong coffee with a rich body. Ideal for Freddo espresso and cappuccino.
- It creates a moderate to good crema.
- It has a moderate bitterness in terms of taste.
As for the not-so-positive aspects:
- It does not have a distinct aroma before extraction (when grinding or opening the package), although it has a relatively strong aroma after extraction.
With the available options in the market, for me, this specific coffee has been the only choice for about 2 years.
I believe it may not satisfy lovers of "traditional" espresso, but it is a must for Freddo and cappuccino
