I have bought all the AC games platinum! I think this is the best for me and for all the ones I have played! I just finished it on PC, of course I liked it so much that I also have it on PS4 Pro. And I plan to start it again, I really liked the whole style of the game, pirates, ships, etc
I had bought the game along with Assassin's Creed Rogue in a version for the Ps3. Initially, for me, it is the best Assassin's Creed game by far. The graphics for Ps3 were perfect, the gameplay had many beautiful mechanics and weapons to eliminate opponents, the story was something else, you can explore everywhere. But the highlight is the ships, the pirate era with a pirate who became an assassin, fighting and upgrading your ship. PERFECT
For a game from 2013, it's not worth it anymore. The graphics are outdated, the gameplay is similar to III and Rogue, but the story is quite nice and the map is big. However, it's a bit repetitive.
I still remember the times of 2017 when I got the PS4 and this game, it was the first game I bought and definitely one of the best choices I have made. It is a real AC that is worth playing even today, timeless value, the Black Flag.
I have played thousands of games since I was born and Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag entered, if not first, among my top 3 favorite games. The graphics are still incredible, especially on the recently purchased PS4 Pro. I used to play it on my PC with full low graphics and only 12 fps, so that's why I bought it on the PS4 Pro. I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, but the map is huge with so many things to explore, from land to shipwrecks and hidden treasures. The secrets of the magic hunt and upgrading your items and ship are also a great aspect. Hunting sharks and whales at sea is also thrilling. They paid great attention to the pirate era in the story (9/10) because some missions were very challenging and the ending moved me. At such a price, I would buy it just to display it as decoration, and it is much better than Odyssey. It's worth buying, fullllllllll
So I have had this game for many years and I have finished it many times, but the issues that bothered me were:
- The game's sound, which often has bugs.
- And the graphics are a bit outdated since it was released in 2013, but I believe Ubisoft could have done a better job.
- The multiplayer is terrible, not even worth playing.
But other than that, it is an incredible game that now costs 15 euros, so you should definitely buy it!
It's not exactly Assassin's Creed and it's not exactly a pirate game. It doesn't have enough rooftops to jump from one building to another like in previous titles. You will spend many hours at sea, chasing enemy ships in order to board them and take whatever they have, to repair your ship or to recruit sailors (along with the ship). Don't ignore the side quest with the naval battles and forts. The forts, once conquered, help you in future naval battles by turning their cannons against your enemies. Also, you want to have a strong ship because the main missions will be very easy. Not to mention that if you have a strong fleet, you can send your ships all over the world to sell goods, and this is your main source of income.
The game outside the animus is a bit interesting, but there is enough material to read if you take the time to hack into the computer of every abstergo employee.
Around 40 hours of gameplay, without going for 100% sync, and at the current price, don't miss it.
Obviously something goes wrong with me since almost everyone else loved it.. However, I will also give my opinion... Nice idea but poorly executed. Bad battles, very bad combat system with swords, a story that takes a long time to get going. On the positive side, nice locations, excellent stealth! It's a shame... I really wanted to like it but unfortunately I don't...
The first Assassin's Creed game I played and it made me a fan of the series. I played all the subsequent ones up until Odyssey, but Black Flag is my favorite. The reasons are twofold: a) the ship travels with the singing sailors (especially at night with the lanterns lit, it's something else!) and b) the Caribbean!
For 2019, the gameplay is obviously outdated, but in terms of graphics, they are clearly superior to the corresponding remasters of the first AC games.
Overall, a very beautiful world that immerses you and makes you want to explore it. It is also suitable for stealth missions with cover in the foliage and the blowpipe catching fire! It's still worth playing
It is a very nice game that may not remind you of the classic Assassin's Creed, but it is still one of the best in the series. In the game, you are a fearless and badass pirate who wants to live the "good" life in the West Indies, searching for treasures and plundering ships, but during his travels, he gets involved in the conflict between the assassins and the templars. The gameplay is fantastic and entertaining, with control over Edward Kenway and his ship, the Jackdaw. The story of the game is essentially a pirate adventure, which successfully connects it to the history of the assassins. Despite some bugs and minor issues in combat, the game is almost excellent in other aspects. At the current price, I would say it should be on the shelf of fans of the series as well as fans of pirate themes.
I had bought this game on PS3 and I am thinking of buying it on PS4 as well.
The story is very good, the soundtrack is amazing, and the graphics are good.
Many people didn't like the multiplayer, but I loved it. It is unique, the most different multiplayer I have played. Unfortunately, it is dead at the moment.
The gameplay is pretty much the typical AC gameplay.
However, the combat is too easy since you only press two buttons and kill the enemy, but the finishing moves are very badass.
The naval combat, though, is one of the best things in the game. I often found myself lost while traveling on the sea, listening to the sea shanties.
It is worth its money, and it is also very cheap these days!
Another nice game from the Assassins Creed series that puts you in the role of a pirate. A game from 2013 that many still play. It is among the favorites of the series for many fans.
Things I liked:
Nice islands, beautiful landscapes.
Great missions, nice story, and epic battles.
Crafting always makes such games more interesting.
Things I didn't like:
The player's controls are unacceptable. From parkour to fighting multiple enemies. They took steps back in this area compared to the previous one.
But I don't mind since we're talking about a game from 2013, so we shouldn't have high expectations.
It fits very well with the Black Sails series on Netflix.
In my opinion, Assassin's Creed Black Flag is one of the best Assassin's Creed games. The gameplay is fantastic and the combat system is great. The fact that you can plunder and sink ships and overall do whatever you want with your ship is the best pirate experience. The world is enormous, although most of it is sea, it is still amazing. The Caribbean is wonderful with its blue waters, beautiful islands, and many mysterious jungles. The story is not perfect, but it is not bad either. The main thing you should know about the story is that the character is more of a pirate than an assassin. Finally, I cannot say that the multiplayer is good as it is boring for me. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is a very good game and I highly recommend it to a fan of Assassin's Creed, especially if they also like pirates.
The game is wonderful, combining two of the strongest genres that entertained us in our childhood: the Assassins and the Pirates. The overall effort is remarkable with very good results. The story pulls you in, the gameplay has the same formula as all the others in the series, but the atmosphere it creates is tremendous. Clearly one of the best in the series.
This game is one of the best Assasins Creed games I have played because it has something different. It has a huge Map and you have your own ship. I recommend buying it if you like ships and the series.
The truth is that it somewhat deviates from the meaning of the series, but this makes it accessible even for those who are not generally crazy about the series. For all those who enjoy stories about pirates, they will find an exceptional story, full of historical figures, naval battles, and a very nice storyline. The world is quite large and offers plenty of side quests and challenges after the last episode. The success it has achieved is not accidental, and although it is a relatively old (from 2013) game, now that it is so affordable, it is worth getting
I hadn't played Assassin's Creed in a long time, to tell the truth, and Black Flag was a delight. I really liked it. Pirate battles, missions in Caribbean cities. Classic Assassin's Creed that doesn't leave many people indifferent. I found it on sale and bought it blindly... wonderful graphics on the PS4 and classic Assassin's Creed gameplay.
It's supposed to be an old game, but I highly recommend it to fans of the series. IV is a delight.
Overall, it's a good game but it gets too repetitive at sea. I would prefer something like Assassin's Creed 3, which had sea elements but not as much. Also, when I'm at sea and engaging in battles with ships, it would be nice to have the option to transport myself with the ship, etc
The black flag was worth its money and had several positives. The positives are the graphics that left me amazed and were different from its predecessor. I was also impressed by the naval battles, which were very good, and overall the sailing experience is very interesting and has a large map where you can discover new places both on land and at sea. I quite liked the story and the concept of piracy because it simply differs from the others. There are many destinations, side quests, and treasure discoveries that you won't easily get bored of the game. I also really liked the fact that you can upgrade your ship, so there are visual changes and underwater explorations. Now, as for the negatives, the variety of weapons is not very large and both the combat and weapon selection have taken a step back from the previous Assassin's Creed. The sword fights, for example, become repetitive and boring, and they are not particularly brutal, which is something I missed from the previous game. Also, the stealth was good but not perfect, and I didn't see any tremendous improvement in parkour, on the contrary, I didn't enjoy it as much. Also, something that is missing from the series is a character that will stay like Ezio, but here the black flag somehow saves it because it gives you the feeling that you are not attached to the character. To conclude, the game is quite good and I recommend it because you have nothing to lose, on the contrary, it will captivate you
