The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.
DDR4
DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.
It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory module.
For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.
The above characteristics must be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.
The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro provides a speed of 3200MT/s, with CL16 and 8 GB per memory module.
Compatibility
DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.
However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.
XMP & EXPO
XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available in certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.
The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro has (XMP 2.0/EXPO) profiles with performances:
Speed (XMP/EXPO): 3200 MT/s
CAS Latency (XMP/EXPO): 16-18-18-36
Voltage (XMP/EXPO): 1.35V
RGB Lighting
The RGB lighting in the Vengeance RGB Pro series has all the means and functions to create a unique and impressive look on your computer.
You can achieve this either through the software provided by the company, iCUE, or with compatibility in Sync Up software provided by motherboard companies. The advantage with Sync Up is that we can synchronize the RGB lighting of the entire computer.
The Vengeance RGB Pro is compatible with Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and MSI Mystic Light software.
Cooling & Design
The aluminum heatsink material keeps the memory at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can
report it here.
Very beautiful and reliable RAM. I have had them for 2 years without any problems on MSI B550 Gaming Edge & Ryzen 5700G. Just activate the XMP in the BIOS and everything is ready! The RGB synchronizes perfectly with all programs.
Excellent quality, perfectly functional memories, intense argb lighting! Soon they will be tested for their maximum speed (3200). I installed them on Gigabyte Aorus Elite V2 rev 1.4
I had these RAM sticks for about a year now and they work perfectly. I replaced some Corsair LPX (they were fine, I just wanted a bit of RGB so I gave them to a friend). These ones are dual channel and 3200mhz for those interested because there are other models available. The PROS/CONS are listed below for you to see.
PROS:
1. Very good quality. This specific RAM hasn't given me any issues and has been working normally for a year.
2. Dual channel. If you install the sticks one after the other with an empty slot in between, they will be in dual channel mode, which can slightly improve performance, especially for AMD processors (as you can see in the photo, I haven't installed them in dual channel because one slot on my motherboard is broken).
3. RGB. This is both a positive and negative aspect in my opinion. On one hand, it looks very nice and can be programmed through Corsair's software. On the other hand, RGB should be the last thing you buy for a computer because the money spent on RGB could be used for a better purpose (e.g. better graphics card, processor, etc.). It's better to have a powerful PC without RGB than a weak one full of RGB.
CONS:
None!!! I have no complaints.
Overall, it's a very good memory kit with programmable RGB and excellent performance. However, if you're looking for something more budget-friendly, I would recommend the Corsair Vengeance LPX instead of these. I will update if I change my mind about something in the future.
EDIT 1: WARNING: In the pictures, I haven't installed them in dual channel because some slots on the motherboard are broken! (Returning to my evaluation, I noticed that I mentioned the dual channel capability without explaining why I didn't apply it. Whenever I decided to add this explanation here, the RAM sticks still work perfectly and I have no issues with them).
Do not make the mistake and get these, for the same money there are also Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 RAM with 2 Modules (2x8GB) and Speed 3600 for Desktop. Otherwise, both are pretty good. Corsair has the nicest programs for RGB. Finally, do not forget to overclock them, because on their own they will run at 2133 instead of 3200, generally most RAM modules. Watch some videos on YouTube on how to do it and you will be fine
Quite satisfied after 3-4 months of use! No lag at all, no blue screen or anything like that that I read in some comments! I paired them with another 8 that I already had and the difference is noticeable
I am absolutely thrilled with the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 RAM! These memories truly embody the definition of performance and style for most desktops on the market. The combination of 16GB capacity and 3200MHz speed ensures excellent performance and can even handle the most demanding tasks.
The RGB lighting strip adds an impressive touch to the computer, allowing everyone to choose from a plethora of colors and effects that match their personal style.
Installation and setup were a breeze thanks to Corsair's easy design and control software. I have the Asrock B660 Pro RS + i5-12400F and they worked directly without any issues at the advertised xmp2.0 speed (3200MHz).
Overall, the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro memories are an excellent investment for any user, whether it's for gaming or demanding scientific processes. With the combination of power, performance, style, and ease of use, these memories leave no desire unfulfilled. I am completely satisfied and couldn't recommend anything better in this price range.
The RAM is good, but it has an issue with cooling. The RAM that is next to the CPU reaches 42°C and causes small lag spikes due to the RGB on top of it. As soon as I lower the brightness to 25%, the temperature drops below 40°C. This problem arose when I installed the Ryzen 5 5600 with its stock cooler. I wrote this to let you know that if you have a processor that heats up and you don't have a good cooler, you will have this problem. *With XMP enabled.
I chose the Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 memory from Corsair because I wanted to build a new desktop computer from scratch (MSI MAG B560 Tomahawk WIFI mobo, Intel Core i5-11400 CPU, without a graphics card). Their main use will be in Vegas Pro, Premiere Pro, and midrange gaming. Corsair is renowned for the speed, quality, and reliability of their memory. I can say that the first two are true, as for reliability, it will be evident in a few years. Their clamshell packaging (2 x 8GB dimms kit) does not include any extras (such as a Corsair sticker), only the two memory sticks and a piece of paper with useless information.
These memories work flawlessly from the moment of installation, they were recognized and set to XMP (3200MHz) through the MSI BIOS. The dimensions of each one are 137.9 x 7.6 x 49.8 mm, weighing 59 grams, and they do not obstruct the aftermarket Arctic Freezer i35 ARGB cooler that I installed. Unfortunately, they are not compatible with MSI's software (mystic light sync) for LED customization, so it is necessary to install Corsair's iCue to control their lighting. If you are interested in these memories and want a detailed view of them before purchasing, watch the unboxing and presentation video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzhmkQYgmM8
So, my PC has very poor specs and I decided to start with a RAM upgrade, so I got this one. It's a good upgrade and worth its money. If you have trouble getting it to run at 3200, check out some videos on YT.
Flawless installation on an Intel system, read them immediately and with XMP at 3200MHz without any problems. Beautiful RAM and with iCUE you can do whatever you want with them (colors, etc.). Very reliable and good price.
I got 4 because I wanted an upgrade for many years and I was craving it. They are absolutely gorgeous. I don't like flashy things but they put on a show. They are very efficient and high-quality in touch.
2. Yes, Corsair has its own software for RGB LED and it has some very nice combinations. It works independently and flawlessly without affecting any other existing software for RGB LED.
3. Yes, these RAMs are quite fast because they have a small CAS Latency, in our case 16, as indicated in the last 3 characters of the product code, as well as having quite fast clock speeds at 3200mhz. Of course, there are faster ones on the market but these are ideal for a relatively modern system.
4. Yes, these RAMs are fully compatible with XMP profiles which you can activate in your motherboard's BIOS.
Personal experience.
I own these RAMs at 32GB C16 3200MHz. In 6 months of use, I have absolutely no complaints. Due to my work (sound recording, music production), I stress my system quite a bit, so with 32 GB I am quite well covered and in terms of speed, they have never lagged.
Conclusions.
I declare myself completely satisfied and recommend that you buy them as they are fast and beautiful. Really a jewel for your PC.
In my opinion, the most beautiful RAM. Truly awesome. However, it was giving me bluescreen when I put them at 3200mhz. I lowered them and everything has been fine since then.
There's no need for many words about these memories.
Corsair's quality and reliability.
They work tirelessly and effortlessly on an MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 5.
They were set to work at 3200 via BIOS and with the Corsair program, you can do whatever you want regarding RGB lighting.
So, the choice is a one-way street!
Definitely with classic quality Corsair! It's on an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus with a Ryzen 5 3600 and they haven't had any issues! Of course, their RGB is nice and vibrant, which I personally like!
They were installed on an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard in combination with a Ryzen 5 3600.
2. By enabling the XMP profile from the motherboard's BIOS, they immediately ran at 3200MHz without any problems.
3. There are many modes to choose from for RGB lighting via the Corsair iCUE program.
4. The build quality is very good and they are very beautiful to decorate your case.
Satisfied year with CORSAIR, I decided to try the RGB version of the PRO. I didn't expect anything less. They run at maximum, due to my AMD system, and of course they do not disappoint in any way. I would buy them again!
Corsair says it all.
They worked flawlessly on my Aorus B450 Pro motherboard and they look beautiful.
*After a while, the system occasionally experiences blue screen crashes. I will disable the XMP profile in the BIOS to check if the overclocking is causing the issue.
Corsair support replied, "Enable XMP up to 2933 for stability" (no issues - system is stable).
Excellent and very easy installation, fast and simple. The only negative thing about Corsair memory is that the overclocking process can be incredibly complicated in some cases where the SPD of the RAM shows incorrect information and thus Thaiphoon shows the wrong chip, so the whole process is wasted.
Edit: Ultimately, the process of overclocking is much simpler and faster through the BIOS without unnecessary programs, etc. So, I have nothing negative to say.
I'm amazed. It's so fast. I was just impressed by the increase in its price. I bought it under normal conditions (without discount) for 80€ but even at 100€ it's still great value for money.
I'm amazed with multitasking! I can finally run 10 applications at the same time, including 1 game, without any lag. Before, with 4GB RAM at 2400Mhz, it struggled with 1 game and 2-3 other applications open. Now, it's like nothing is happening! They also look fantastic. If you're willing to spend a little extra, it's worth it! They don't lag anywhere, and you can have multiple applications open for fun! I also didn't mention that image freezes in games have been eliminated! The image doesn't freeze at all, while before it would freeze occasionally. I highly recommend them, they're worth 10/10! Don't forget to open XMP to adjust them to 3200Mhz if your motherboard supports it.
Beautiful. Unreliable though. I've never seen memory with so many errors before. One dimm managed to freeze memtest86 with over 40,000 errors halfway through the first test! The memory hasn't even been used for a year. Hopefully Corsair will show reliability and replace them. Waiting for a response...
Update: luckily, Corsair came through. I was without memory for a month, but they replaced them with new ones and even covered the shipping costs. The only downside was that they only responded to emails every 4-5 days and it was time-consuming to send them all the paperwork they requested since they didn't ask for everything upfront to get it over with... I hope the new set lasts a long time! So far, it's working perfectly!
Compatible with AMD Ryzen and Intel XMP. Quality construction overall. I'm waiting for the Mobo to arrive to test and I'll come back. If they behave like regular Vengeance, they'll be perfect.

First tests. They reach 3200 after enabling the profile, but not without issues. The PC has crashed several times during benchmarking and at random times, and the boot indicates a RAM issue. They were moved to a different slot and the Asus Rof Strix x570-Gaming BIOS was updated. I'm not sure if it's the RAM or the motherboard. They're not on the mobo's QVL list, even though Corsair has them for AMD optimization.

Replaced with G.Skill TridentZ 16GB DDR4-3200MHz and no issues have arisen again.
