What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?
Waterproofing in a tent shows us how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.
The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Widely used waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.
Skroutz tips
We took care and learned for you!
According to user reviews, the tent:
Is very cool and the mesh allows plenty of air to pass through. Combined with the outer cover, it provides excellent insulation in the summer.
Has a convenient vestibule for shoe storage, which helps maintain the temperature when the sun hits the tent and keeps moisture out of the tent.
On the other hand, when it is windy, if the main entrance is not properly stretched, the noise generated is intense.
Additionally, some users suggest setting up the tent on a surface (e.g., a special cloth).

In a 2-hour storm with hail, no water got inside except for the back side where water had pooled and came inside the tent, I honestly didn't expect that. Good fabric and easy to set up for 2 people with a semi-double mattress and our things are just fine.
Good quality, withstands rain and wind but in strong winds it "hits" quite a bit. For 2 years now it has no wear. Front-back doors and large windows. Relatively cool. It would deserve better panels than the ones it has. The size is satisfactory for 1 person and their belongings
Good quality materials, withstands rain, the only problem is that it is a bit difficult to set up in the sand, you need to stretch it well and in case of strong winds, you need to put weight in the corners. It is an excellent choice for the mountains, not the best for the beach.
Quality in terms of construction materials, cool due to the large windows and double door, easy to set up and spacious enough for two people as I have used it. If you are on a beach with fine sand and it's windy, it lets the sand in through the back door, which is annoying because it goes straight to your head, so it needs to be properly anchored and the outer fabric tied down.
One of the best choices for a summer or spring tent. It is very cool, especially if both side windows are open, creating a breeze.
Setting it up is not the easiest, but once you learn how, you can set it up in 7 to 10 minutes.
The space is more than enough for 2 people with belongings, and with fewer items, it could fit 3 people.
The mesh is very good and allows enough air to pass through. In combination with the outer cover, it provides excellent insulation in the summer.
The vestibule is very convenient for storing shoes, etc., and greatly contributes to maintaining the temperature when the sun hits the tent.
After 2 years of use, it hasn't given me any problems. I have used it in very windy conditions at the beach and had no issues with sand or tent stability. However, due to the double fabric, it can be bothersome during sleep when it's windy.
The only extra thing I would suggest is that the included stakes are not good, and they easily bend in thick soil, so it's good to get some extra, thicker stakes just in case.
Very good tent. Really an upgrade from a 30-50 euro one from Praktiker or Jumbo, etc. It is definitely worth giving a little more money not only because it will last much longer, but also because it is very user-friendly and will definitely enhance your experience. Everything is of high quality, from the fabric to the case. Also, the materials are really worth it, from the hooks to the cords, poles, and zippers. Very easy to set up. The windows are exactly what you need to get fresh air without being bothered by the light. The vestibule is worth it. Everything is worth it. Very good. Very satisfied. It was purchased in August, but at a very good price, I think 63 euros, but for me, it's worth it and I would even pay more without a second thought.
Well, the tent is very good. It is very easy to set up, it has hooks for the poles instead of holes, so you don't have to spend half an hour trying to thread them through and worrying about tearing the fabric of the tent. The fabric is of good quality and in the front vestibule, I managed to fit 2 20-liter coolers, a table for 2 people, 2 folding chairs, and a bag when I went to sleep. The windows are huge and in the morning the sun doesn't bother me at all, which is great because I don't like the sun hitting me in the morning. It's the best thing I've bought for 2 people. If you're going to spend 50 or more on a tent for 2 people, add a little more and get this one. I highly recommend it.
Purchased in 2019. (3V)
Typical setup process with poles.
Tried 4 times so far, averaging 6 days each time.
I gave it 5 stars according to its price. For the money, I don't think there is a better option (since I like to test scenes).
Positives:
Perfect ventilation. Two entrances, large windows.
Pure mosquito net. Consists of two fabrics (a standalone mosquito net and the top cover).
Tested in light rain for 2 hours and not a drop got inside (although I was under a tree and it was raining above us).
Has storage spaces. We always use it with two people and it is very comfortable.
In Ziria below zero, we had no trace of moisture (unlike other tents in the past). I suppose this is due to good ventilation. It also kept the heat and we slept fine.
Negatives:
When it's windy, if the main entrance is not properly stretched, the noise from the fabric is unbearable.
P.S. The trick to prevent air from bringing sand inside is to lower the outer fabric quite low, loosening it from the scratches that hold it to the poles. Also, set it up on a surface and not just on the ground (some special fabric).
First scene I use and it covers the whole room with a net. Good for summer when you want coolness, with one disadvantage, when there is strong wind and it swirls from below, it brings all the dirt inside.
