  There is no way someone can learn English from this book if they don't know almost anything, but is it possible instead of starting with grammar and a few words to start with a whole dialogue and have the grammar in the middle of the book?
  But even if you go directly to the grammar, it explains it so abruptly that I doubt if a beginner will understand.
  Last year I was reading an older book called "English Without a Teacher" and even though it's old, you can easily learn, I just decided to buy something newer and it's really a waste of money.
  Sorry Mr. Matsoukas, but you are not addressing beginners but people who already know the language and just want to refresh what they already know.

  No! You don't learn English on your own, nor with this book. It ended up in my mother's hands, who doesn't know a word of English, and I took a look at it and was horrified. It quickly dives into difficult topics, skipping the basic foundations of the language, and on the first few pages, you already encounter difficult vocabulary for beginners. And of course, what is missing, as in all books of its kind, is oral training. How is it possible for someone to learn to speak without first listening? Take the 20 euros it costs and give it to a teacher instead (no, I'm not a teacher), to sit down and teach you a couple of things that will stick with you. End of story.

  Simply perfect. For only 15 euros, the book explains in detail all the grammar phenomena and their idioms, and through the dialogues, you can enrich your vocabulary to a satisfactory degree - which makes you capable of communicating with an English speaker from the very first week. The only "negative" thing is that it doesn't improve your listening skills - well, we can't have it all. I highly recommend it to everyone who is learning from scratch (like me), it's worth every penny and more.
