I read many comments... in the end, I got it... I am impressed that a machine costing 100 euros is rated alongside a machine costing 400 euros... so this machine is the best for its price... lightweight... can be operated with one hand... perfect for pruning olive trees... and it cuts large branches easily...
The weight is not what is stated, i.e. 2.9kg. The weight - without blade, chain, and fuel - is 3.256kg. I had the same one for about three years, and now I bought the same one again to have the old one as a spare. The old one worked relatively well, but it was losing a lot of oil. It became inoperative because it had a major fuel leakage due to the fuel tank breaking, and the repair was not cost-effective.
Well guys, I've had it for four years, maybe even more, I've drunk its blood, olive branches, tree trunks for firewood, the machine never betrayed me. I also found out that it loses oil from the cap. Okay, you place it sideways and the problem is solved. Good cleaning after use, no gasoline in the carburetor after the end of work & correct ratio of gasoline to oil. Get it with your eyes closed. We're talking about a beast.
I bought it used from a friend for 50€. I was very impressed by its quality. As a mechanical engineer and having used many saws in my hands, mainly branded ones, I can say that it is very good value for the money. And one more thing, the country of manufacture is listed as Korea, not China.
Very good value for money..BUT..once it is set up, it definitely needs ADJUSTMENT!!! I turned both screws all the way in, loosened the H 2 turns and the L 1.5 turns
I bought it from a local store in Serres, everything is fine for a start, it starts easily. I also have the Stihl MS 170, I bought this one for the olives because I work with one hand. The only thing I noticed is that it leaks oil when it is in operation. Also, it doesn't oil the chain properly, sometimes it runs too much, other times not at all. I took it back to where I bought it, they have a setting for the oil flow on the chain, exactly below. If you close the pump, it won't leak oil, but that's not a solution, it shouldn't leak for any reason. But okay, for 100 euros, it's good
I have it for almost 3 years. It leaks oil and wherever you leave it, it will stain you. It constantly loses its idle and adjusts the RPMs, while for some reason, when I work with it with the throttle open, something happens with the fuel supply and it stalls and shuts off. After shutting off, it struggles to start and doesn't take. In my opinion... it's not even worth its money, get another Chinese one
I have had it for two weeks and the only thing I can say is that it cuts very well. The only drawback is that it doesn't respond immediately when I press the gas, and from what I understand, it must be the carburetor that needs adjustment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 years of use everywhere and when we say everywhere .... (pruning, cutting, digging, and wherever there is a wooden pole) ... everywhere! After this intensive use, it needed a blade replacement, oil pump, and gasoline tubes with minimal cost. It easily made back the money from the initial purchase, I would highly recommend it without hesitation!
I have been using it for about 3 years for amateur use, pruning branches of garden trees and olive trees. It works very well, it has not presented any problems to me, of course I am meticulous in its cleanliness and maintenance, it starts easily like any two-stroke machine can.
Well, this machine is good value for money. It will last you two years if you cut 4-5 tons per year. It cuts thick branches just like I did. I'm not saying it's not worth the money, on the contrary, the Chinese have improved a lot. The problem is that Huandai has nothing to do with this product. If you search the internet, you won't find any Huandai chainsaws anywhere in the world. So there's no reason to pay 40 euros or more when you can get the Nagea for 60, which is slightly better. That's the whole truth
I pruned an olive tree and it caught fire. I sent it to the dealership and they told me they will respond on October 20, 2020! I have called so many times, I don't know how many, but they always tell me that it is in service and I still haven't received the machine a year later. Shame and disgrace from Hyundai.... From now on, only Echo and Stihl.
I bought it in September 2020. From the first moment, it was losing oil, so I took it for service. I did a test using a fuel tank and it remained intact throughout the winter. Now, at the end of July 2021, I decided to use it for pruning. I fill it with fuel, try to pump gasoline, nothing... it doesn't work. I open it up, fuel hoses are cut... what can I say... the most useless purchase I have ever made... a waste of 100 euros.
Friendly advice, get a more reputable pruning tool or, for occasional use like mine, it's probably better to go with a battery-powered one.
Update 27/8
After repairing it at the mechanic who replaced the hoses, the machine is now working for pruning.
Let's see how long it will last...
Changing my rating to 3/5.
Update 14/12/23
It's actually very good, changing my rating to 4 stars
I bought this chainsaw two years ago. In the first year, the handle's wheel broke, but luckily there was a spare part in the packaging and I replaced it. Now I found its button and it fits easily. It pulls twice with the choke closed and starts with two pulls with the choke open. It can even cut larger tree trunks, but it doesn't require much force. It has a good advantage of having oil flow adjustment for the blade/chain. At the end of the season, I empty the carburetor completely into the gasoline (without oil) for an hour and then I store it without starting it. After 5 months of inactivity, it is like new.
The worst thing on the market. On the third day, the carburetor broke, we put a new one and after a week it started moving forward for the 20th time. But after it retards again, I threw it in a corner in the warehouse and I calmed down. There is no cheap and good, if you want my opinion, buy a branded one so you don't have any problems.
Very good for its price. The branded ones are very expensive. If in some cases, by pressing the gas, it turns off or sounds like it's clogged, and even though they adjust it after a few hours, it's still the same. The culprit is the vent valve of the tank, which is below the gas system switch. If your hands get dirty, you can easily change it with one euro.
I have it for two months daily use, the first week it easily cut 2 tons, it needed adjustment on the carburetor which was done in the field... After a few days, when it's hot, you have to keep the gas pedal pressed... Slightly heavier than the Chinese and branded ones but reliable for now, we'll talk again in a few months..
Well, it is 100% Chinese but of very good quality... It has nothing to do with Hyundai, the Greek representative here just used the name and, of course, paid the rights to Hyundai.... You can find the same tool for 50 euros with a different name, not for 95.
The plastic is bad, heavy for many cuts, starts with the 4th. It cuts relatively well but I wouldn't recommend it when there are so many others on the market with better features and more reliable.
I have it for 2 years! From the first use, it chewed up the chain (Chinese) and I replaced it with a 30-inch blade with an Oregon chain! This year, when I went to work with it, it was leaking gasoline from the fuel tank tube, so I replaced it along with the oil breather of the fuel tank because the chain was not lubricating properly, and everything is fine now! It is good to also change the spark plug because it wears out quickly! It has proper performance without stalling like most Chinese ones and it has enough power! With good oils and proper use-maintenance, I believe it will last...!
Purchased in October, I immediately used it for pruning. It has worked quite well for both trimming and cutting branches, so I pushed it to see how it performs. Here's what I have to say: it starts easily, has power, and feels sturdy. As others have mentioned, I also had an issue with the oil cap, but tightening it solved the problem. The brake mechanism is a bit stiff, and I had to replace the fuel bubble because it got punctured, costing me €5 at the repair shop. The package includes a key, Allen wrench, file, mixing container, straight screwdriver, cord wheel, instructions, and a strap with a hook. My father and I also have the Husqvarna 335 and Echo cs3000 with 30 and 35-inch blades because we cut thick logs in addition to olive trees. Amazing machines! I was torn between the Husqvarna 425 or 525 and the Echo cs 2511. I've used both of them and so have my friends, and they are very satisfied. They are lighter and more powerful, but also more expensive. However, they are worth their price, just like Hyundai. If it doesn't get damaged during the busy summer season, I'm considering buying another one with a carving blade for the olive trees and the larger hcs 5200 to give my Husqvarna 340 and 365 a break. Both of them together cost about €250, less than the 425! I have always believed that cheap is more expensive, as Kosmakis says, which is why all my tools are branded and durable. Unfortunately, our budget has changed now... So, get it, change the chain, use good oil, clean and sharpen it regularly, and I believe it won't disappoint you. I give it 4 stars, but after 20+ years of use without any wear and tear, like the 335 and 3000, I should give it 5 stars!
Bought here for 1 year+. I don't know if it happened to me only, but: (a) it leaks oil excessively, (b) after one year, the fuel supply tube dried up and gasoline was leaking. I bought it because it said Hyundai, but it turned out to be a pure Chinese product. I fixed it, but I don't know how long it will last. Note that I took care of it and maintained it as I should. In the end, cheapness eats away at quality.
I have had the machine for almost 2 years. It has cut everything, thin, thick, and dry wood. It has not given me the slightest problem.......... For almost a month now, it has been working in adverse working conditions. Only a good chain and red oil, I use Stihl
It starts easily, doesn't tire the hand, indeed the chain oil cap has a gap from the construction and leaks, it needs to be tightened fully and it stops.
For pruning, it is good and powerful. I combined it with a Stihl for thicker branches. Alternatively, it works flawlessly but needs a better spark plug and a reputable chain. It doesn't require exaggerations to have it for years, just proper cleaning in the end. Whether it's cheap or expensive, when it starts to break, it's better to throw it away and get another one. After two years of pruning 250 trees and cutting firewood for about four cars, it still works respectfully with good maintenance and oil. It has paid off the money and is ready for other smaller tasks this year
Immediate shipment of the product as far as shipping is concerned. As for the machine, everything seems to be fine so far. Fair price for amateur use. Note that it is not STIHL.
The saw is worth every penny, some small things that will cause damage like the membranes after a while, replace them with comachu's that fit and everything is fine
