Unfortunately, with the first drop of the disk from a low height, the disk stopped being read by the computer and suffered damage to the head, as the technician told us, with a manufacturing cost higher than buying a new disk. So all the saved files were lost.
Although it is a recent purchase (€45 during the sales period), it seems to be of good quality construction, of course time will tell. For the money I paid, I consider it worth 100%! In the extensive use I have given it so far, it heats up (which I consider normal) just like the previous one I had. Nice design, including the LED that flashes during file transfer. If any negative issues arise, I will come back with updated comments.
Sturdy aluminum construction, elegant and stylish. Remains cool even after extensive GB recording (120 MB/s consistently on write with USB 3.1). Naturally silent. Exactly what I was looking for. Worth every penny and more!
PS: I particularly liked that the Type C to USB 3.1 cable is braided and not plastic. Gives a very premium feel.
If you have a Mac and want to use it for remote backup, I struggle for a long time to make it work properly
