As a teacher, the use of a pen is a one-way street. I chose it because of its price for the lessons during the quarantine. I don't think anything more expensive is necessary. The program I write in is Windows Ink, which is free and can be found in Windows. I should note that in Word, we have handwriting conversion to Word text, and in Word's equation, we write handwritten mathematical equations or relationships and it converts them into Word equations.
Having the pencil for very simple use, I have already changed it once, as within 6-7 months it simply stopped working. Suddenly the cable did not make contact, even though I was very careful with it. After 2-3 months of trouble to change it from Scroutz, they gave me a new product around December '22, which just broke in the same way! 3-4 months later! I won't even bother with changing it... I will have to buy a new one!
I bought this particular tablet in 2020, during the first lockdown. As someone who didn't have much experience drawing digitally, I believe it was the perfect tablet for a beginner. At first, the handling felt strange because it didn't have a screen, but after 1-2 days I got used to it, just like we use the mouse to navigate on the computer. The sound and texture that the pen gives on the tablet remind me of writing on paper, personally, I like it a lot. As someone who used to use it daily for hours, I changed the nib on the stylus every 7-8 months, so they have a long lifespan and buying new ones is very cheap and easy to find in Greece through Skroutz. I still use this particular tablet today and it hasn't given me any problems. Since many have already shown how the tablet looks with photos, I will simply show what I managed to draw with it, just because it is cheap and small doesn't mean we can't draw something nice with it.
I had the largest size before. I got the small size as it is sufficient for simple tasks as well as for remote learning. It has been convenient for me.
Before I bought it, I was thinking about many things such as the lower pressure levels it has compared to pens of the same price category, size, and other such details. What I realized when I started using it is that if you are a beginner, none of these things matter significantly. In my opinion, it's not worth spending more money (unless you have extra) to start creating animations without previous experience. Yes, surely a larger size will be more helpful, but with a little zoom, you will have the same accuracy even with this pen. Also, the lack of a screen is accustomed to much faster than you think :) . I only have one negative thing to say about this pen, which is that the tips "wear out" relatively quickly. In the photo, you can see the tip after a week of continuous use. That's why there are 2 solutions:
1) You keep the original plastic cover as it comes with the pen. (Until I thought of it, I had already thrown it away, I hope I caught you in time :) ) Of course, it will probably slip because the rubber feet will be covered.
2) You get book laminating plastic and pass it over.
In both cases, the surface will lose its "paper" texture (personally, I like it better, but many will disagree) and the pen will glide on the surface, so the tip won't wear out.
I will update the evaluation by adding photos when I try to put on the laminating film.
Edit: I put on the laminating film. At first glance, nothing seems to be affected.
The pressure sensitivity works normally as shown in the screenshot.
It is very good and user-friendly. At first, someone may find it difficult to get used to the writing surface. It may seem small, but its surface is satisfactory.
I will address Osu! players first.
If you come from Huion 420 (my case), know that the tablet will not slide much at the beginning, but after a week it will be fine.
Overall, it is a tablet with a satisfactory size, the pen is very lightweight because it does not have a battery, and the response time is incredible. And let's not talk about the price, as it is almost free for such performance.
I have it for 7 months and I use it for osu!
Its use for the game is very good.
Of course, the port where I plug in the cable has started to not work (although I think it's my fault), but overall I believe it's worth its money
I bought it for university for the remote exams. I am very satisfied, even though I got the smallest one. I used it for a little while, but it helped me a lot.
I don't know about you, but for me after a week the stylus didn't work well on the tablet, meaning I would move it to the left and it would lag and move slowly.
Excellent for use in teaching. It does not have extra buttons on its surface like other products that increase its size and I have never found them useful. There are buttons on the pen that can adjust the function they will have and they are very helpful. It also includes additional pen tips (in a separate package and not inside the pen like other similar products, which would be preferable)
I bought this specific pen, like 90% of the reviewers here, for online learning. I am completely satisfied and I admit it has solved my hands. The small pen is more than satisfactory for use as a "whiteboard" or correcting written work
This tablet is worth every penny you will give. Personally, I have been using it for osu! for about 8 months and it has not presented the slightest problem.
I got the tablet for the game called osu because it's easier to play with a tablet and I can say it's very good, very fast in the movements I make, and it's also very good for Photoshop and other things I do with the tablet. The driver was very easy to install, but I use a different driver for the tablet because it works better in osu, although the original driver was fine, I just have more options with the other driver. And yes, the tablet is very good and worth its money
After 7 months of use in online classes, the Microsoft Whiteboard freezes during class, and the tablet's port for the cable has worn out. What a shame! It wasn't worth it after all.
It's been a month in my possession. It solved my hands during tele-education, both during delivery and correcting written work. Particularly convenient is the fact that it doesn't need batteries (it works with the computer's power with a USB cable). I definitely haven't exhausted its capabilities. I regret not buying it earlier.
The product is perfect. I use it instead of paper now and it is always in front of me on the computer. I do my university exercises digitally on OneNote. By the way, give another 20 euros and get the medium size because it is a bit small for this specific task, and if you are a teacher, you will be better off with the medium size. It's a bit strange to write down and look at the screen, but you can learn it in a few hours. I use it in Illustrator, but not for professional use at all. In short, it's a pen-shaped mouse. I don't know how it will perform for more demanding tasks.
I mainly use it with Photoshop and Lightroom. Fantastic for specific functions, such as clone/healing, which, when combined with pressure sensitivity (for opacity, for example), leave you wondering how you worked before.
After a while, I have found myself using it freely as a regular mouse.
The size suits me well, as my hand does not wander over a large area.
The only thing I don't like is when I try to reach the edges. I would prefer a little more virtual distance.
I recommend it.
I am taking online classes (Mathematics and Computer Science) and the "pen" has helped me a lot. Especially in Mathematics, with the pen + an electronic board (Microsoft Whiteboard or Openboard - I use both) + my camera, it feels like I am in front of the students!
While in the past I was considering buying one for photo editing purposes, I got it now to facilitate my online teaching.
I exclusively use it to write on a whiteboard (via Microsoft Whiteboard) and share it with my students through eClass - it is perfect for this use.
Before buying it, I was afraid it would turn out to be small. In the end, through experimentation, I ended up REDUCING its active surface, so that I can write faster and have better support for my hand on its surface.
It worked equally well for me on both a 27" and a 23" screen.
The only thing that requires practice is finding the two small buttons on the pen (since it rotates during writing), which I have converted to Undo and Erase.
Music teacher in distance learning, using on a staff sheet, for writing small and detailed musical symbols.
Before I bought it, I had doubts about the size, but after trying it, I realized that maybe the small one is more convenient, as the distance from one end of the screen to the other is covered with less movement.
Now I can't do without it. It took me 2-3 weeks to get used to it, but now I write perfectly.
Those of you who buy it, don't rush to judge it. Give it some time, it needs getting used to. It will serve you well.
I use it for online learning. It easily collaborates with almost all programs (not with pdf if I'm not mistaken). It corrects written work as if it were a regular red pen. Very useful and worth its money.
Very good product for its category. My friend had it for free design (when she started) while I need it more to be able to operate in online courses. Very useful, convenient (since it doesn't even need installation) and definitely a good investment for someone who will use it.
When I bought this "penaki" I used it exclusively for a video game called osu! If you are interested in getting it for response times and delay, then don't have any doubts because it is perfect. I highly recommend it, whether for osu, painting, or anything else!
Wacom sent it to me to try it out, I had never held anything similar in my hands before and I have the following to say:
Build quality is good to moderate.
It is lightweight as it does not have a battery since it gets power directly from the computer.
It takes a few days to get used to it, but it really makes your life easier afterwards.
