I use it in the Far East where networks and frequencies are like spaghetti, very good connection, works well even with just one signal bar, battery is small for the use I make of it, it lasts "only" 6-8 hours of usage. I have been using it for 2 months.
It constantly disconnects, I have requested a replacement but no one is dealing with it. It is in the box and shows an indication that it is plugged in. It has not worked for more than 10 minutes without disconnecting. It is not worth the 87€ I paid for it.
I got it to have internet while camping and hiking. I found myself in a plateau at 1300 meters altitude and out of all the groups that camped there (about 20 people), I was the only one who had internet. The only downside is its small battery, but this is easily solved with a power bank.
If I could, I wouldn't put any stars. They changed my router three times in total. And all three times it had the same problem, the wifi would disconnect for no reason. The wifi would just shut off on its own without any reason and wouldn't reconnect. Really frustrating!!
It is exactly what it says. For the past 20 days, in the village, it is permanently on and connects 4/5 devices without any problem. The issue is with the network that has its ups and downs. It is permanently by the window (only there it has signal) along with a power bank, because the battery lasts for 3/4 hours at most. That's why it gets 4 stars.

Since today it is overheating excessively and does not charge.
It only charges when cold. Oh, and after a few hours, it cuts out.
It hasn't lasted two years and we're going for another one.
Small, beautiful with easy installation and stability in operation without disconnections but with some fluctuations in speed due to signal. In an area with poor signal, it achieves exactly the same speed as my mobile 56/13. In an area with excellent signal, it almost reached 125/23
I agree with the other reviews. It works perfectly most of the time (although it sometimes persists in making continuous disconnections on some devices). However, it has a disadvantage that is both costly and dangerous. After one or two years, the battery swells to the point where it can no longer close the lid and cannot stay in place, so essentially the router cannot be used. It happened to me with two different devices and two different batteries in each device, and if you google it, you will see that it is something that has been observed in recent years. It was not a faulty batch issue because the devices and batteries were purchased at different times from stores in different countries.
It's a shame because it is a very good router and it has decent management for its IP.
He does his job, he wants you to set it up first with the respective provider. Better than using your phone as a hotspot.
Maybe the price is a bit steep but okay.. I've had it for a few months and it has never given me any trouble.. It's very easy to handle and with its app, you can adjust many parameters.. 4 stars only for its price and nothing else..
I have it for over 1 year and it works great. Very easy to handle and quite stable in its connection.
It's great for the job I want, that is, TP-Link's 4G connection, providing Wi-Fi connection to mobile and laptop, and connecting the desktop PC via USB cable, without any problems. It could have been cheaper, since 5G devices have already appeared.
Very good product. It solves your hands, especially in remote areas. Functional in its use and user-friendly.
Update 03/11/21: After about a week of use, I am removing one star and explaining why:
If you are in a building with multiple WiFi networks, be prepared for interference. Firstly, the device only operates on 2.4 GHz, and secondly, it seems that it is not powerful enough to maintain a stable connection with devices in other rooms, resulting in frequent momentary disconnections. This happens because the device constantly tries to find a channel without interference. Unfortunately, a quite serious problem is the fact that even if you set a channel through the software instead of auto, it will not hold it. If you do not live in a densely populated area or you are close enough to the router, you will not have a problem. However, if you live in a space with many WiFi networks around you, you need to move the device closer to the devices so that they do not lose the signal. I do not consider this a problem of the device, it just confirms that it is probably not suitable for a primary home router. The rest of the evaluation still applies, but if you are not interested in portability, I would recommend switching to a router with antennas and dual-band 5 GHz.

Initial review
Satisfied so far. It has full signal in a 120 sqm house, its installation is easy as well as its management through the TP MiFi application, which has all the settings you will need. Its speed is exactly the same as the mobile (Vodafone network) and has not dropped below 24Mbps even during peak hours. The only negative is the slightly high price, the VERY short cable, and the absence of a charger, but we all have a spare charger somewhere or you can connect it to your computer to power it via USB.
The device has an internal slot for an SD card, although I can't imagine why someone would want to transfer files to a card and open the device every time or write them to the card via the network. It is preferable to share files through the network with an external hard drive connected to your computer.
Useful tips: If you are not interested in portability and have it permanently plugged in like me, in the battery settings of the TP MiFi application, select 'Long Range' for signal strength so that you have the strongest signal. Also, from the application, you can disable data whenever you want so that your various devices do not consume data all the time and the device only functions as a WiFi network.

First device for 4G hotspot on the go. Truly, I believe I made a very good choice!
The hotspot catches a very good signal and is very easy to use.
Its autonomy is satisfactory but at the same time variable, which is logical of course if you think that if you push a car, its fuel tank will empty faster. So does this, the more you push it, the faster its battery runs out.
Finally, the WiFi coverage of the device is extremely satisfactory.
Everything is fine with its operation, although I believe it is a bit expensive. The only problem is that it stops charging before the battery reaches 100%, so you have to unplug and plug in the charger again until it fully charges.
The signal is much weaker than the hotspot of a good mobile phone (e.g. iPhone 11 Pro), it overheats and shuts down on its own during the summer. Only take it if it is necessary to have a portable router, otherwise buy a wired one with powerful antennas.
I have several disconnections! I have it in the taxi with 3 devices and it disconnects simultaneously for a few seconds from all 3.
I have it for 4 days and it really worth its money with a network on Wind. I highly recommend it and it is also easy to install.
Very good and user-friendly mobile application, but unfortunately it only supports 2.4Ghz frequency and not 5Ghz.
Good little machine, it has a very strong antenna in the basement with a 4g line that gave 26 mbps. In everyday life, in the car, walking, at the beach, and in an external backpack case, it consistently reaches 50-70 mbps. The battery life is decent, with two connected devices (laptop and mobile) in full use of Spotify and browsing, the battery lasted 8 hours. The setup is child-friendly and the menu has many more settings than you will need. Sturdy construction, very lightweight. It would like a bigger battery to reach 10-11 hours of autonomy.
I bought it to have access to the internet in my country house, thus avoiding the use of a fixed connection. Overall, I was satisfied. It had uninterrupted operation. The ability to wirelessly access files (mostly movies) through the wifi that I had stored on an SSD proved particularly useful. This way, my daughter could watch movies that we had already downloaded without consuming data. Something that could be improved is the battery life, which is not stable, although it is not prohibitive. I recommend it to potential buyers.

In my opinion, not vfm, I believe that with something cheaper you can do just as well your job if you want to connect two or three devices for simple internet use.
The product is very good. I had a problem in Cyprus with roaming, even though I got the telecom provider and the store where I bought it, there was no solution to the connectivity.
Update: Aug 15, 22. All good! I had it in the drawer for 4 years, suddenly I needed it for pocket wifi (replaced the white one from Cosmote). Satisfied with the application!
Super easy to install. Can be operated either through the simple web interface or through the android/ios application (tpMiFi) or through the router's screen. Long battery life. Its speeds (supports 4G LTE) have left me completely satisfied. As a previous owner of a Huawei E560 and then a Tp-link M5350, I regret not buying it earlier.
Great battery life.. Personally, it lasts me throughout my entire work schedule as it is only my device connected.. Relatively good signal.. Although here it seems that the provider of the company you belong to plays a clear role. Easy installation!. An application is also provided by Google Play (Tp-MiFi) for multiple functions.
Fantastic little device. The installation is easy unless it is a more complex installation, in which case the software installation is also more complex.
Specifically, I installed a wireless printer on this particular device and it was a nightmare.
Other than that, fantastic! Fast, excellent 4G signal even in areas where it barely reached 3G. Great battery life and a very good UI.
Just one observation: Different software is used for internet browsing, mobile devices, and mobile device applications. Very strange.

After a year, I went to change providers and when I opened the box to change the SIM card, I noticed that the battery had swollen and the cover barely closed... This is not right!

I constantly have it in the car and up to 3 people can connect to it simultaneously. It is very fast and has data control that helps a lot to not exceed the limits. The fact that it has 4G makes it outstanding. Its autonomy is simply amazing, it goes into sleep mode when not in use and even better, in my opinion, is the ability to change the frequency range from 2 to 5 GHz, which is supported by the latest mobile phones. Well done to TP-LINK for starting slowly and reaching a point where it competes with the quality and stability of products from other companies that have been in the networking field for twice or three times as long.

I'm coming back, after 1 and a half years, I can say that I made the best choice, I use it almost every day, it hasn't given me any problems and the battery life is the same as it was in the beginning.
Excellent! I work with a Vodafone card and it has helped me a lot during my travels. Especially now with 4G, we finally have fast speeds.
I happen to also have the M5350, and with the national provider, I constantly had interruptions with both devices, which proves that it wasn't the routers' fault but the network's. The interface on the computer is also very good. Thank you to user cyclops for recommending the TP MiFi, it is indeed good and useful.
