On an important trip, some videos from the GoPro 9 were recorded as if in fast motion (like they were timelapse), without any changes to the camera settings (they were continuous videos) at 4-5 different moments of the day. It was as if it couldn't keep up with the data transfer from the camera (buffering). I was disappointed and put it in a low-resolution security camera (with slow data transfer). Conclusion, for "casual use" it's fine, if you want to save important things that you would be upset if you lost, get whatever is the most reputable and good that your budget can handle.
I had bought a 128GB card a while ago... It worked for a few months and then got stuck in read-only mode.. Fortunately, the data was not lost but the card could no longer write anything... It was replaced under warranty with a different brand... That's it..
I am referring to the 64gb version (larger ones may have better material). It comes formatted in exFAT. In a test on the built-in reader on a 2019 Ryzen 5/Win11/SSD laptop and file copying, it gave the following measurements (with a stopwatch and dividing mb total/sec total).
- Write Speed (large iso file 1.44 gb) = 21 mb/sec (with small fluctuations, not annoying)
- Write Speed (small mp3 files around 4mb each, 880mb in total) = 18 mb/sec
In reading a large file, it gave
- Read Speed = 88mb/sec
approximately the same speed for reading smaller files.
During the test, it did not show any signs of heating up. I don't know about durability, etc. However, we keep the receipt (5 years).
I bought it for an action cam, I haven't had it for long so I don't know how long it will last. So far, it works satisfactorily. Good price as well. Lifetime warranty.
It worked for 1.5 years on a Redmi Note 7 phone and then it burned out.
The good thing is that it automatically becomes write-protected and you don't lose your files.
However, until you realize it, it deletes some videos that you take after the damage.
The bad thing is that people don't know about it and struggle for hours with tools to format it.
Nothing happens, the card remains frozen with everything written on it until it breaks, and if you have saved photos of your children, you can't easily use the lifetime warranty.
Smart, huh?
I bought 1 and it burned before the year ended... The dealership replaced it and it burned again before the year ended as well...
Perfect
I have one with 128 gigabytes and it is very fast and also comes with a lifetime warranty!!
Many people say that adata is rubbish but until today I haven't found any problems!!
(Write speed 43 read 91)
