Description

The Hyperdesmo LV Alchimica Roof Waterproofing Insulating Material is a low-viscosity, pourable, elastic membrane, polyurethane-based, single-component.

It polymerizes with atmospheric moisture and forms a monolithic waterproofing membrane with excellent adhesion across the entire surface.

It contains a small amount of solvent (xylol) so no additional dilution is required.

It consists of pure, elastomeric, hydrophobic, polyurethane resin which, along with special inorganic components, provides the product with excellent resistance to weather conditions, chemicals, UV solar radiation, mechanical and thermal stresses.

It is applied with a roller, brush, or spray (airless 200-250 bar) in two layers with a minimum consumption of 1.5-1.8 kg/m2.

Applications:

For waterproofing and protection on: Eternit and sheet metal, gypsum boards and cement boards, bitumen membrane, EPDM membrane, bathrooms, verandas and balconies, roofs / roof insulation, parking areas, bridges, stadiums, irrigation channels.

Application Method:

Clean the surface from loose materials, dust, plant organisms, salts, oils, etc.
Loose materials must be smoothed and removed with appropriate tools.
Glossy surfaces must be roughened or primed with AQUADUR primer.
In the case of unreinforced application of the material, any existing severe cracks in the surface require repair before the final layer with polyurethane sealant HYPERSEAL®-25LM.
Before application, stir the material manually or with a low-speed mixer for about 2-3 minutes.
Apply with a roller, brush, or spray (airless 200-250 bar).
The two layers (mandatory) are applied consecutively within 24 hours, depending on weather conditions.
To ensure 25 years of protection, the radiation-reflective varnish HYPERDESMO A-500 must be applied as a third coat within 48 hours after the second coat.

Consumption:

First layer: 0.8-0.9 kg/m2
Second layer: 0.7-0.9 kg/m2
For spray application: 0.8 kg/m2 per layer.
Minimum total consumption: 1.5-1.8 kg/m2.

A few words for those who know and those who don't know.
The product literally kills if applied CORRECTLY, and I emphasize that. It is quite expensive, but it is worth every penny if applied correctly.
To help most of you who may not know, and to prevent you from being fooled, pay attention to the following before purchasing and applying it.
First step, you need to clean the roof very well. When I say clean well, I mean using a pressure water machine to remove the dirt that has accumulated over the years. Usually, you will also see the cracks that have appeared on the tiles or the old insulation from the years. It is good to seal the cracks with HYPERSEAL EXPERT from ALCHIMICA or "sausages" as they are widely known.
Second step, you need to apply the primer first (Aquadur). It requires 200 grams per square meter. After applying the primer, depending on the weather conditions, if it is winter, it needs more than 7-8 hours, if it is summer, four hours. Then, you apply HYPERDESMO, which requires 1.5kg to 1.8kg per meter, depending on the surface you are dealing with. For example, if the roof is in good condition, use 1.5kg, if it is full of potholes and worn out, use 1.8kg. Apply one coat and after 19 to 24 hours, apply the second coat. If you want, you can also apply the varnish (which, in my opinion, is necessary) (Hyperdesmo ady-e and Hyperdesmo ady-500). And truly, until the building collapses, you won't need to deal with the roof again.
Because many companies use material but only use 1kg per meter to save costs, you need to be careful with the offers you receive and the kilograms they tell you. So, with a simple example, for a 100m roof, you need 150kg and 20kg of primer.
The material is truly the best, it just needs proper application.

Note: Roofs that have asphalt felt or Veral or any type of asphalt coating must be primed with a special primer. This specific primer is the UNIVERSAL PRIMER 2K, which you need to apply quickly because it has an exothermic reaction and can solidify in the bucket.

Water-based primer is not suitable for tar. (Aquadur)

It was applied 2 years ago on a 100 square meter terrace with mosaic and with a high cost of materials consumption. Although they claim that the material breathes, my house filled with mold and condensation during the winter. After a visit from the engineer, I learned that they completely sealed the breathability with this material and I have problems with moisture condensation. No responsibility from the company so far. Be careful with what shines! It's not gold!!

Seeing everyone in my village using Hyperdesmo LV on their roofs, and liking how it looked, I decided to get a kilo to apply it to a certain area for testing before applying it to my own roof.
Well, I didn't apply any primer or varnish on top of the old insulation I had installed about 10 years ago.
I just want to tell you that as soon as you apply the material, you understand how high-quality it is. After a few days, if there is any leftover in the container, it becomes solid and needs to be thrown away, along with the brushes and rollers. Imagine if I applied primer and varnish before. I don't know if it will last as many years as they claim, but it will definitely last more than a decade.
I will come back after a few months when I finish applying it to the entire roof.
The purchase price, however, is quite high.

I would like to add something after seeing the comment from my friend fishergr, who says:
"Whoever wants can also use the varnish (hyperdesmo ady-e)."
Not whoever wants to use varnish, but it is MANDATORY!
If you don't apply varnish, it will start to chalk in a short time. You will notice this by wiping it with a wet or dry cloth, it will leave a white residue.
Without varnish, you are only doing half the job with questionable results and without a specific timeframe of how long it will last.

In a five-year-old house, I had issues with humidity, visible color fading, bubbling, and cracking on the balconies due to moisture. Note that the house has external thermal insulation with concrete panels. Following the company's recommendation, I applied the plate and visible balcony coating with Astari-lv-Ady. After two years, I can say that the humidity has been reduced by 95% and there is no cracking anywhere. I have also used it to seal the chimney that was releasing moisture and water from the concrete, as well as the underground boiler roof when it rained, and it sealed it very well. However, it is a bit difficult because the ideal conditions and products suggested by the company are utopian.
