How do we translate economic texts? The reader will not find an answer to this question within the pages of this book, as according to the author's opinion, it is not possible to propose a translation model for economic texts that can be strictly and universally applied in every case. The management of translation problems, posed by each text to be translated, both at the level of individual linguistic units and at the level of expression units, is done in a different way each time, depending on the desired function of the translation in the culture and language of arrival. This book describes and proposes ways to address the translation problems we encounter each time we are called upon to translate an economic text. Following a "gentle" functional approach, which does not constitute a universal regulatory model but a tool adaptable to the different requirements of the translation process each time, the author presents and evaluates translation possibilities and choices based on the peculiarities presented by translation into a minor language, such as Greek, which today functions as an importer of economic (and not only) terminology.
