Well after 2 months my opinion is that the toaster is simple and small, suitable for small countertops, ideal if you live in a studio or a small apartment. It fits 2 regular size toast bread, but if you use a slightly larger brand, it might stick out a bit on the edges. In terms of toasting speed, it's satisfactory for me, in less than 5 minutes the bread slices are toasted evenly, as well as the cheese and cold cuts inside. I like them a bit crispy, so I leave them for about 8 minutes, which is fine for me. If someone wants them ready in a minute, then don't look for a toaster in this budget range, you should go for a higher one. Also, its plates are truly non-stick, unlike some old toasters I had, which claimed to be non-stick but after a week you needed a spatula to remove the sandwich. These plates come out and clean with just a rinse of water, as they literally don't stick. And finally, maybe not important for most people, but my wife and I like the touch of red color, it's like a decoration on our small countertop among the other indifferent inox appliances.
I have had the toaster for 4 years and it refuses to break down... I have 3 children and we cook over 10 sandwiches per week. I highly recommend it to all households. It toasts evenly, cleans very easily, has removable plates, and the quality-price ratio is amazing.
In 2 months, I tried to make a sandwich with three slices of bread and it broke on the back side of the hinge. It's a fake construction, basically. It only works for sandwiches and nothing else. It can't handle sausages or reheating a steak, possibly.
I have had it for 7 years and I am very satisfied. The plates have started to deteriorate their coating and some residues stick in certain areas, but they have lasted as I said, 7 years. They are detachable and convenient for cleaning. It makes the toast crispy and evenly cooked as long as you do it correctly, and I will explain it immediately:
We plug it in and wait for the green light. WHEN the GREEN light turns on, it means that THEN it is ready to start cooking because then the plates have reached a uniform temperature.
Also, on the surface underneath the "Gruppe" logo, there is a small plastic piece that you lift and it stays at 90 degrees. I was curious why it has it and I discovered that when you open the toaster at 180 degrees like a grill, then it becomes a "foot" for it to stand on (see photo by clicking on the link). The truth is, I haven't used it as a grill
Overall, it is a good toaster except for the fact that it takes too long to toast compared to other toasters. Other than that, it is value for money. It is important that it has removable plates that are easy to clean
