REV'IT STRATO GTX FGW075 Black riding gloves made from 47% genuine goatskin leather and Flocked PU, as well as PWR|shell 330D tri-fleece. They include Gore-Tex technology and 3M Thinsulate for increased insulation. Additionally, they feature 3D SEESOFT and EVA for extra comfort and protection. I have had these gloves for 1 1/2 years now. It is the second winter that I am using them.
As for the waterproofing part, Gore-tex is a guarantee. In a 30-minute heavy rain situation (which was the maximum I have encountered), the glove did get wet on the outside but no drops or moisture passed through to the inside of my hands.
Now, regarding the cold part. The glove is sufficient if you are moving within the city at city speeds (up to 80km/h) until 12°C, at least 10°C, and at most for about 20 minutes, maybe half an hour. After that, the fingers get very cold and as time goes by, they often become borderline freezing...
If we are talking about higher speeds, it can withstand up to 15°C for about half an hour, then you are on the edge.
If you want it only for waterproofing, okay. If you want it for protection from the cold, look elsewhere, it doesn't justify its cost in this aspect. I am already looking for something else...
After 2 years, the indicators where the material for wiping the helmet visor is located have worn out, I can see the gore-tex now. Prefer a glove with leather AND that feature...
