The 3rd Roomba that I buy and now I can write a helpful article!
Years ago, I bought the 500 series and I was satisfied (the crazy movement with circles still impresses me as it manages to clean the whole house).
The next year, I bought the next series (specifically the 650) and the truth is that it didn't have much difference from the old one.
Now, as an owner of the 980, the differences are chaotic and that's why it's worth the money it asks for and more.

Before I start, I want to inform you that the 980 and the 960 have the same technology but differ in three things.
1. In the battery. The 980 lasts for 120 minutes while the 960 lasts for 75 minutes.
2. The 980 has a turbo mode when it detects that it is on a carpet. (this significantly drains the battery)
3. In the packaging, the 980 has two headlights instead of one like the 960.

Positives for the 900 series:
+ It makes organized and logical movements, resulting in perfect cleaning every time and literally going everywhere compared to older models.
+ You can adjust the way and style you want it to clean.
+ The most important thing is that it is very easy and quick to clean. (The 800 and 900 series only have silicone brushes and do not collect hair like smaller models with bristle brushes.)
+ You can control it from your mobile with Wi-Fi (program it, check the cleanliness level of the bin, get notified when the bin is full, and it can show you step by step how to solve a problem, you can name it, see its battery percentage, the cleaning time or how long it will take to charge so it can start a new cleaning cycle manually with images and questions - answers for everything and much more. Really good job!)
+ You can see the map it has created on its own and see where it has passed or not.
+ It performs well on carpets!
+ It brakes before touching something with its specially designed bumper. (compared to older models that would crash into furniture and walls)
+ Women's and pet hair is a thing of the past and you can mop without finding hair in the mop.
+ You can pause its operation to, for example, answer the phone if it is next to you and resume when you want.

Negatives:
- The purchase price compared to the American market, which is 20% or even 50% less during specific promotional days.
- It can no longer clean properly at night like the older models did.
(The older models navigate with infrared, unlike the 900 series, which primarily navigates with the camera)
- The battery cannot clean a 140 square meter house with one charge, unlike the older models that could comfortably clean the entire house for 3 hours. (In case the battery runs out, it will go to charge and return on its own to the point where it left off.)

*A solution for the battery is to buy a larger capacity one, but you need to be careful about which battery you will get in order to avoid a message from the vacuum for the wrong battery (error 5).

Conclusion
It is a complete robot vacuum cleaner that is worth its money, as when you come home after work, you noticeably find a cleaner house. (Only when you try it, you will understand its work)
As for the money it requires, it is undoubtedly a large amount, but on the other hand, if you were paying a cleaner, it would cost you more.
With the robot vacuum, since it operates every day, you keep the dust level in your house at a very good level. Also, there is less dust on the furniture due to frequent cleaning. (Owner of a conventional vacuum cleaner that, although it cleaned well, was heavy and I practically didn't use it every day)

Εάν κάποιος θέλει ανεμιστήρα για αποστάσεις μεγαλύτερες των 2 μέτρων θα πρέπει να κοιτάξει πιο πολλά "βατ"
