I'll be the first to review this, since I took a risk buying an item without any reviews.

I needed a 'simple' KVM switch to work for my work Chromebox and my main home PC, with enough ports for my mouse (Logitech G502) and gaming keyboard (Corsair K70 LUX, which has two USB cables on its own). I didn't want any monitor outputs, or a KVM with just a single USB port for a memory stick.

The box is quite small and comes with two fairly 'heavy-duty' USB A - USB A cables to connect the KVM to your two machines, quite thick and sturdy. I haven't tested using a USB stick to confirm the speeds provided, but I might do so at a later date.

There was no driver installation required. Once all the cables and peripherals were connected, it worked instantly. My work computer didn't see anything different and acted like they were connected directly, and my PC (which has more power to spare when compared to the tiny Chromebox) powered the RGB lighting on the keyboard.

When you press the small button on the top, it takes approximately 3-4 seconds to move from PC to Chromebox, and only 1 second from Chromebox to PC, so it's negligible. It's fast and painless. The blue LED on the switch is blue, but not horrendously bright like with other tech, so it won't keep you up at night. It does stay on even when both machines are off, however, it could be due to my PC always maintaining some power on for the RGB on the motherboard.

On Windows, you can hear the USB connect/disconnect sound when switching to and from when pressing the button, the moment you hear the sound is when it can be used on the PC, or the other machine.

Rarely, a device won't be recognised when you switch, like the keyboard or mouse. To fix it, just switch to the other machine, wait a few seconds, and switch back.

One time, there was a fairly big issue, in that the switch wouldn't work on my PC. I figured out the issue on my own. I believe I was switching between both machines so fast, that it couldn't keep up, and the switch became an unknown USB device in Device Manager (so anything connected to it wouldn't be detected). The solution was to uninstall that unknown device, then switch to the other machine, wait a second or two, and switch back. Windows found the drivers needed and it worked again.

TLDR, don't do rapid switches between machines, just give it at least 5 seconds before pressing the button again.

Highly recommended for daily use.

I purchased this after I lost my Plaisio TurboX bluetooth receiver, which worked great.

For context, I have a pair of Philips Fidelio X2HR, which are wired headphones, but the cable can be removed entirely, in case it wears out. However, this means you can put a bluetooth receiver on it to make it a wireless set of headphones. Very useful when walking around the house.

This Ugreen bluetooth receiver had good reviews, so I tried it out. Unfortunately, the sound quality was immediately terrible. There is literally no bass, the treble is way too high, and the richness of the sound in between is lost. For a cheap bluetooth receiver, I'm not expecting miracles, since a cable would be infinitely better, but this was too much loss of quality. It could be a bad unit, since no one else has mentioned this.

I've attached an image of the Spectrogram from Foobar2k, recording from my headphones into my Blue Yeti mic, while playing the 'Crab Rave' song from 29 seconds on (you can find that song on YouTube). On the left is the cable to computer, and the right is computer to bluetooth. Note the lack of bass at the bottom, the highends completely chopped off, and the rest is just 'tinny'. There just wasn't enough volume to the sound either, even after increasing it to nearly max volume.

If I could attach an audio file, I would. I'd equate it to listening to music playing down the phone during a call. The quality is gone, no bass, you get the idea.

The audio loss is too much to accept. While an EQ in Spotify might help out, it won't work for YouTube, or any other app which uses audio. I'll be requesting a return for this product, perhaps it is a faulty unit, and I was just unlucky.

I gave it 2 Stars, because the ease of use was great, and I haven't tested the transmitter properly, only the receiver, nor the battery life, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

[edit] My replacement device had the same issue with audio quality, so I can't recommend this for receiving audio. I've requested a refund for the product.

Αν είστε σαν εμένα, το αγοράσατε μόνο για ένα βασικό πράγμα, δηλαδή για δουλειά, με λίγη αναπαραγωγή μουσικής και ελαφριά χρήση Διαδικτύου. Το αγόρασα για να πληκτρολογώ έξω από το σπίτι μου και για να μείνω μακριά από τον υπολογιστή παιχνιδιών μου, επομένως είναι σκόπιμα κακό για παιχνίδια, αλλά αρκετά καλό για τη δουλειά και το περίεργο σερφάρισμα στο Youtube/web όταν βαριέμαι.

Δεν κάνω αναβάθμιση σε Windows 11 μέχρι να είναι απολύτως απαραίτητο. Καθώς ήρθε με τη λειτουργία Windows 10 S, άλλαξα από αυτήν στην κανονική έκδοση των Windows 10 Home για να εγκαταστήσω εφαρμογές που δεν ανήκουν στο Microsoft Store. Αυτός είναι ένας απλός διακόπτης μονής κατεύθυνσης, οπότε βεβαιωθείτε ότι είστε έτοιμοι για την αλλαγή. Επίσης, μην εγκαταστήσετε το Mcafee Antivirus και χρησιμοποιήστε το κανονικό Windows Defender ή μια επί πληρωμή αξιόπιστη υπηρεσία AV. Η εκκίνηση στα Windows είναι εξαιρετικά γρήγορη, χάρη στον SSD, και ολόκληρο το μηχάνημα είναι πιο αθόρυβο από όσο νομίζετε.

Το Office 365 (με τη δωρεάν άδεια χρήσης 1 έτους), το Spotify, το Scrivener (μια εφαρμογή γραφής) λειτουργούν τέλεια. Η πλοήγηση στο διαδίκτυο είναι επίσης γρήγορη, αλλά μην προσπαθήσετε να έχετε δεκάδες καρτέλες ανοιχτές. Το Youtube κάνει ροή βίντεο ομαλά και η ποιότητα της εικόνας είναι καλή. Ωστόσο, δεδομένης της οθόνης, πρέπει να την έχετε στη σωστή γωνία για να τα βλέπετε όλα καλά. Μια απαραίτητη θυσία, αλλά εξακολουθεί να παρέχει πολλή φωτεινότητα όταν τη χρειάζεστε.

Τα ηχεία είναι εκπληκτικά καλά, δεν είναι φυσικά υπέρ επιπέδου, αλλά περισσότερο από αυτό που θα περίμενε κανείς για αυτό το μικροσκοπικό μηχάνημα. Το πληκτρολόγιο δεν έχει οπίσθιο φωτισμό, αλλά και πάλι, ποιος θα το χρειαζόταν σε αυτή την τιμή; Τα ίδια τα πλήκτρα είναι ικανοποιητικά στο πάτημα και είναι πολύ σπαστά, αλλά ανθεκτικά στην πληκτρολόγηση, πολύ ανακουφιστικά για μεγάλα έγγραφα. Το touchpad είναι επίσης εξαιρετικό, με το numppad να είναι εύκολο στην πρόσβαση. Υπάρχουν τώρα κάποιες μουτζούρες στο μαξιλάρι και στη γύρω περιοχή από τις παλάμες και τα δάχτυλά μου, αλλά θα το αποκτήσετε τελικά με συνεχή χρήση.

Όπως συμβαίνει με όλους τους νέους φορητούς υπολογιστές, η μπαταρία δεν αφαιρείται, μου λείπουν οι μέρες που μπορούσατε να τις αφαιρέσετε. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι διατηρείτε τη διάρκεια ζωής της μπαταρίας όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερο, φορτίζοντας μόνο όταν τη χρειάζεστε και, στη συνέχεια, αποσυνδέοντάς την όταν είναι σε πλήρη φόρτιση. Υπάρχει ένα ενσωματωμένο σύστημα βελτιστοποίησης μπαταρίας στο λειτουργικό σύστημα για εσάς, το οποίο περιορίζει τη μέγιστη μπαταρία στο 80% επίτηδες. Κατάφερα να το λειτουργήσω για τουλάχιστον 7 ώρες χωρίς να χρειάζεται επαναφόρτιση, κάτι που είναι απίστευτο.

Δεν έχω δοκιμάσει παιχνίδια σε αυτό ακόμα. Το Steam θα πρέπει να μπορεί να εγκατασταθεί, αλλά και πάλι, μόνο τα πιο βασικά παιχνίδια θα μπορούσαν να τρέξουν σε αυτό το πράγμα. Ωστόσο, οι εξομοιωτές και τα παρόμοια θα πρέπει να λειτουργούν καλά.

Λόγω των περιορισμών, η χρήση της CPU, της RAM και του δίσκου συχνά φτάνει στο 100%. Οι ενημερώσεις των Windows κατεβαίνουν και καταναλώνουν πολλή χρήση δίσκου, το αντίγραφό μου του Bitdefender χρησιμοποιεί δυστυχώς πολλή μνήμη RAM και CPU. Φροντίστε να παρακολουθείτε τη Διαχείριση εργασιών εάν διαπιστώσετε ότι τα πράγματα τρέχουν αργά για να δείτε τι μπορεί να γίνει για να επιταχυνθούν τα πράγματα. Θυμηθείτε, αυτός είναι ο φθηνότερος, νέος, φορητός υπολογιστής που θα βρείτε ποτέ εκεί.

Είναι εκπληκτικά ελαφρύ, με μικρό φορτιστή επίσης, οπότε μετά βίας θα παρατηρήσετε ότι το έχετε μαζί σας. Ταιριάζει πολύ με τη θήκη μεταφοράς Kensington 11,6" στο Skroutz.

Συνολικά, για αυτό που παίρνετε με 200 ευρώ, αυτή είναι το καλύτερο ultra budget σε φορητούς υπολογιστές εργασίας που μπορείτε να αποκτήσετε. Περιμένετε λίγα και θα εκπλαγείτε με το πόσο καλά αποδίδει. Ευχαριστώ!
