The mobile phone is seemingly a great opportunity, with features such as the amazing screen, powerful processor, good battery life, etc. It is a crazy performer.

What you won't see written in the reviews here is that this specific model of OnePlus has incredible issues that often make it functionally useless.

If you search the bug reports on the OnePlus forum, you will find that many other users, just like me, are facing crazy problems after a specific update (January 2021) that OnePlus has deliberately ignored for a whole year, pretending not to see them! And if you ask me, they probably never will, especially now that new models are being released.

Specifically, the device freezes completely at unexpected times, and it takes up to a minute to recover. Especially when running apps like Instagram, the situation is a drama as the lags increase. And no, it's not the app's fault, it happens even with all apps closed, it has been confirmed as a bug, and no one is doing anything about it.
For those of you facing the same problem, try clearing the cache by turning off your device and holding down the power button along with the volume down button. Enter your pin code and from the menu, select clear cache (be careful, only cache, don't accidentally do a factory reset and lose your files).
If that doesn't work, a strange fix for this is to record a video using the OnePlus app. Yes, I'm not joking, that's what they suggest in the official forums of the company. Of course, if you restart the device, we're back to square one and you have to record a video again for it to "work properly".

But another unbelievable bug is with the screen, which sometimes loses functionality on the edges, both right and left, making it impossible to use the keyboard or the phone in general if you are in full-screen mode without bottom navigation.
This happens because the geniuses at OnePlus copied the same technology used in the 8 Pro, which has a curved screen, to the 8T, which has a flat screen, hence the problem with touch on the edges (where the screen would be curved). This technology is called palm rejection for those who want to look it up, and the same exact problem appears with the OnePlus 9R.
With a custom ROM, this problem is fixed, which means it's a software issue and not hardware. However, OnePlus has not made the slightest announcement about this bug.

The final conclusion is that I made a huge mistake trusting OnePlus and choosing this model. I don't know if the other models have fewer issues, but judging from OnePlus' indifference to fixing mistakes it causes, I will avoid it forever from now on and go back to the well-known Chinese brand that doesn't disappoint as much.

UPDATE: I have to say that it seems like the new version of OxygenOS 12 finally fixes the problems we've had for a year with version 11! Don't forget to reset your settings after the update. Everything is good now.

UPDATE 2.5 years later: After the latest update, a green line appeared on the screen, a known OnePlus bug that cannot be fixed (only through screen replacement).
