During a short storm, lightning struck and the power went out. When the power came back on, both LED panels that I had connected to the power strip were burnt out, along with their power supply. So, no protection at all.. I regret not buying a UPS and thinking that the power strip would do the job.

When it is in the setting that cuts off power to the devices, the outlet has very low voltage. I believe it should have zero voltage. I also mention that I bought two mechanical timers and both had this specific problem. So there is no question of a faulty device.
