I will say the following, one day I was talking in a voice chat until 4 in the morning and I fell asleep. I woke up at noon with headphones in my ears (8-9 hours of pressure on one side), so I take off the headphones and everything is fine, no sign, no pain, nothing. I put them on again to test if the earpads have any imbalance since one was under pressure for so many hours, and everything was like the first day I wore them! So the comfort and build quality are incredible. The sound is crystal clear with amazing highs, they don't have the bass of Razer headphones in any case, but overall the experience is significantly better, for gaming at least, not for music. The only negative thing I noticed is that because they connect with a 3.5mm jack and not USB, they have moderate volume. In short, an excellent all-around headphone with incredible comfort, classic Sennheiser!
For Closed back simply awesome....
Compared to the M50X, DT770 pro, Meze 99 classics. I liked these ones more for the following reasons....
They are much more comfortable with oval velvet cushions, they are very soft and do not tire at all, they are also lightweight.
The sound is to my liking, warm and with just the right soundstage... For example, the DT770 pro had a very large soundstage, it seemed fake and not good for music... They were okay for gaming, but they were also cold with intense highs... The M50x were the most uncomfortable of all, they had fast and punchy bass but it didn't go deep and they were also quite bright, the Meze were warm as I wanted but they were heavy and uncomfortable, the head sweats quickly, the cushions were not as convenient and they lacked the detail I wanted in the highs.
The HD569 have all these things to a relatively good degree... They are definitely not fast, they are definitely not very analytical but they do everything relatively well, for their price and their type they are top for me so far.
I will start the evaluation by saying that for the 110.00 € they now cost, they are worth 100%.
Advantages:
Their sound is very good with a relative emphasis on mid frequencies, without lacking in bass and treble. In short, quality flat sound from Sennheiser. Good volume levels, but nothing extraordinary.
Well-crafted quality construction, despite being made of plastic, it seems that the material is sturdy and you don't hear any creaking, etc.
Although a bit heavy, they are very comfortable, you can wear them for hours. There is no human ear that cannot fit comfortably and nicely in the cups.
Two cables are provided, one with a microphone for calls, etc. (works flawlessly) and a three-meter cable for audio equipment connection (with a 6.33 mm jack, but without including a 3.5 mm adapter).
Disadvantages:
The cable with the microphone has a straight plug, resulting in inconvenience when holding your phone or having it in your pocket, and even worse, causing wear on the jack of your device. Also, the detachable cable locks in place on the cup with a rotating motion that seems a bit precarious and prone to damage.
I should also mention that they do not fold and do not come with any kind of carrying case.
However, the biggest drawback is the earpads. Yes, they are comfortable, soft, and nice, but the material is suede-like, which means that if you wear them outside in the summer, you are in for a real struggle. It's unbearable. In the winter, you will be fine. (I also have the PXC 550, which have leather earpads, there is no comparison). There are also several reports on Amazon that after years of use, the earpads start to deteriorate (replacement pads are sold for around 15.00 euros if I remember correctly).
In conclusion, I have to say that if you want quality, comfortable closed-back headphones for HOME use without having to spend a lot, they are perfect. You will enjoy them.
If you want to wear them outside, the straight cable, the fact that they don't fold, the heat... well, look for something else.
First of all, I had tried several headphones and my latest ones were the Sennheiser 599. I wanted to try open-air headphones but they didn't suit my listening preferences, so I tried these. As soon as I found the headphones that suited my taste, they had just the right amount of bass without being overpowering, very strong volume, and very good clarity for 152 euros including shipping. Don't even think about it, and the sound card is a Soundblaster AE5
