The texts of the correspondence should be studied without judging the individuals, but rather to see the effort they made to bring Orthodox theology back to its sources. And mainly to see the Orthodox theology of Fr. John Romanides, as it appeared in his dissertation, which he later supplemented with newer observations, as well as the combativeness of this young theologian who was unfamiliar with the Greek reality and was surprised when he encountered it, and did not back down from his views. At the same time, we should also see the combativeness of Panagiotis Trembelas, in what he perceived as a differentiation of various theological positions. Ultimately, we must appreciate how both of them met precisely because they had good intentions."
