Excellent base. I have had it for almost 3 years and I have no complaints whatsoever. The construction is metallic and the design of the base allows you to have things underneath the laptop. I have no relation to music, so I have no opinion on how it is for a DJ, but I have it on my desk at home with a 17.3" laptop on top and I also have a cooling pad base and it doesn't present any issues. As expected, due to its design, if you want to write something from your laptop, it wobbles slightly, but for my usage, where I connect it to a monitor and have my own keyboard/mouse, it does the job perfectly. The height is also very good so that the screen is almost at the same height as an external monitor. I would buy it again without hesitation.
