Direct drive turntable for DJ. High-torque direct drive. The perfect deck if you want to start playing with vinyl or if you just want to listen to your record collection at home.
Just like the PLX-1000, the PLX-500 is built to produce high-quality vinyl sound. The shortest possible audio routing from the stylus to the outputs reduces distortion, while the phono/line output switch allows you to connect directly to your sound system or powered speakers without the need for an external amplifier.
Easy Digital Recording
Record your vinyl collection into high-quality digital files by simply connecting the turntable to your computer or Mac via the USB output.
Smooth DJ Play
Use the PLX-500 to mix and scratch your vinyl records or combine the turntable with rekordbox dvs, a compatible DJ mixer, and the RB-VS1-K Control Vinyl for playback and performance with your digital files.
Cover art display
Place your record covers on display while listening to your vinyl thanks to the support stand inside the dust cover.

Excellent direct drive turntable for its category. I have been the owner of it for the past year and a half and I declare myself completely satisfied with what it offers me for the 380 euros I spent. Solid construction with a cast aluminum platter (weighs 11 whole kilograms), sleek MK2 design with 3 speed options (33, 45, and 78 rpm) and completely silent during playback even if you sit right next to it like I do. I use it for home use, so I don't have an opinion on its durability in a professional setting. However, comparing it to the Technics SL-BD 20 that I had, the sound is clearly louder and with fuller bass. The only drawbacks in my eyes are that the needle falls quite clumsily on the record, so I prefer to manually guide it at the beginning, and that the connection cable to the amplifier is built-in and does not require an upgrade if someone wanted something better. Also, as a DJ turntable, it is not automatic, but personally, that doesn't bother me at all. I would buy it again with my eyes closed.
I improved the sound quality with a new cartridge and needle, which I admit turned out excellent!! The S-shaped tonearm lifts abruptly and also drops abruptly onto the record because obviously it doesn't have good damping on the descent! Overall, it has a good appearance and seems to withstand rough handling, it is purely professional with no automation.
