I give the food to a 6-month-old Malinois and it is the first food we are trying. We have been using it from the beginning and continue without problems. The dog's stools are normal and formed. I feed him twice a day, as recommended for his age.

As for the coat, it is soft to the touch, but not particularly shiny. I don't believe this is necessarily due to the food, as it may also be influenced by other factors such as heredity or grooming frequency.

For now, although I would like something more economical, I am not considering changing the food, as the puppy seems to enjoy it and appears healthy. Overall, I am satisfied with my choice, although I have no experience with other foods to compare the results.

I gave it to a 5-month-old Belgian puppy during the summer period, and I had a lot of solid and soft stools for 20 days. When I say a lot of solid stools, with ACANA, he had 5-6 times a day compared to 2-3 times before. 2 solid stools and 4 soft stools. To stop this issue, I mixed it with ROYAL CANIN, which I used to give before, and the stools became normal again. I would buy it again only to mix ROYAL with ACANA because it is very nutritious.

I started feeding this food to my 4-month-old German Shepherd puppy, replacing Dr'Clauder Grain Free in order to improve his stools (which were frequent and soft) and because I wanted to give him grain-free food influenced by the internet. While the stools did improve slightly at first (not enough to justify the cost of the food), after a month he started having diarrhea for no reason, which persisted. I read similar incidents about Orijen, which is essentially the same as Acana. In addition to the stools, there was also a strong fishy smell in the dog's breath.

I stopped giving it to him and switched him back to Royal Canin, which I had initially given him when I got him and he was doing well, but I changed it solely to go grain-free. In conclusion, I think grain-free foods are somewhat overrated and do not suit many dogs. Perhaps they are intended for dogs with very intense activity or, as I read somewhere, in colder climates. I think I am done experimenting with grain-free foods and will continue with the traditional ones that we have been giving our dogs for so many years.
