This book consists of nine short stories, in which autobiographical, fictional, and pseudo-essayistic elements dominate - either on their own or in combination. Their common theme is - according to the words of the author himself - "the absurdity of existence and the ambiguity of the boundaries between madness and reason." The stories, written with playful and occasionally parodic disposition, are followed by notes that are narratively integrated into the text in a way that sometimes reminds of Borges. However, the playful elements consciously function as a counterbalance to the existential depth. As the author himself notes: "Because the subject of the book is quite heavy or rather unbearable, the style is often playful, so as not to burden the soul not only of the reader but also of the author himself."
