Giulio Cocchi was an Italian chef from Florence who moved to Asti and fell in love with the daughter of a bar owner. Enthusiastic about the richness of the region, he began mixing wines with herbs and in 1891 founded his own company as a distiller and producer of sparkling wines. In modern history, the Bava family now runs the brand, maintaining its boutique character and using only traditional and natural products, producing some of the most renowned aperitifs in the world!
