I love the taste of mastic, but this particular mouthwash does not leave a nice or refreshing aftertaste (to me, it seemed somewhat like the water left in the glass after you eat vanilla submerged). In terms of periodontal protection, I think it is quite effective since it immediately soothed my swollen gum.
