I put it in a 2012 Mac mini and the improvement from the HD was dramatic. It lasted 6 years of uninterrupted operation without losing performance. Today it simply burned out. He spent his money and renewed my computer. However, it could have not burned out.
After 1.5 years of use, this particular disk (3-4,000 hours of use) died. I connected it to 4 different PCs and it is not recognized at all. Specifically, on 2 laptops and 2 desktops, still nothing. No matter how hard I tried to make it appear, it didn't work, let alone fix any bad sectors that were impossible at this stage. It does not appear in the BIOS of any of the above computers or in the File Explorer as you can see in the photos.
I am writing this review on behalf of a friend who needed help and will take it for warranty from the store where it was purchased. Personally, I have trusted Samsung for years and I recommended it to him. You get what you pay for and it also has a 5-year warranty!
The difference in speed of the laptop since it was installed is enormous, it opens in seconds and doesn't freeze anywhere.
I've had it for about 1 month so I can't say if it will last, but it seems reliable so far.
Every time I download something, my Disk gets maxed out (it shows in the task manager) and as a result, even though I have a good internet connection, the applications (or videos) take a long time to load. I believe that the SSD is to blame and not something else in the PC since it is good and relatively new
I put it on a 2011 4-core computer (AMD X955) and the computer is running smoothly. Of course, I also upgraded the RAM to 16 GB from 4 before. The computer starts in seconds!
For the price, at the moment I bought it, it was the best choice, especially if you want to revive an old laptop. Some things are simple, let's not make our lives difficult and overcomplicate everything.
Basically, mine is the SDSSDΧ-120G-G25. I've had it for 3 years and I use it for video editing. What can I say? If it had a mouth, it would curse me. I've literally worn it out. Its performance hasn't dropped and as for its health, it's evident in the photo. It's definitely worth it.
It is the 2nd SanDisk that I bought, the 1st one has been with me for 3 years now, and it hasn't lost any health or anything, that's why I preferred it again.
At some point, I made the mistake of buying a cheaper Intenso, and in the first year, it is at 70% health.
I put it on a laptop and the maximum speeds were 432MBs for reading and 442 for writing. As it says. What impressed me was the very low temperature. In the Crystal Mark benchmark, it did not exceed 39 degrees Celsius in July, when the old HDD was only 2 degrees lower and there are SSDs that reach or exceed 50 degrees. It's not the top, but it's perfect for slow 6 old laptops.
It was purchased a year ago from a store in Germany. I put it in a Lenovo G50-45 laptop with 2 GB of RAM. It was tested on Ubuntu and Windows 10, and the RAM was upgraded to 10 GB. The computer became unrecognizable. It now has reduced startup and shutdown times, file copying times, and programs open faster. You can also download the SSD DASHBOARD program from the Sundisk website, which is recommended as a companion application. I highly recommend it.
I bought it in March 2014 with the new system I set up back then. Its capacity is ultimately small and after 4 years it needed formatting, even though I only had Windows and a couple of programs installed. It has never crashed on me. Generally, SSDs perform better depending on how full they are in terms of capacity, so if you don't have it full, it works like a charm. The solution of 240GB and above is better.
For the money, he is very good and fast without any freezing or high temperatures. He hasn't reached 40 degrees so far, but I expected him to have RAM memory, like Samsung in SSDs, and sometimes you may notice that he slows down a bit for this reason. However, so far, in the short time that I have him, he seems reliable. For the money, you don't think about it :)
Very good disk for its price. Its speeds, although slightly lower than the competition, are at extremely high levels compared to rotational HDDs! Operating systems and applications start in amazingly short times. The capacity is slightly smaller, but to a negligible extent. Its casing is entirely plastic, without affecting its reliability or functionality, and its packaging is minimal, without any accompanying software or accessory. However, these factors make its price affordable, without the absence of these features being bothersome. Its durability over time remains to be judged.
Update 05/03/2023: It works great so far. It's awesome even though it has undergone countless configurations and rewrites.
By far the best in terms of performance for its price. Compared (from my experiences) to Kingston and OCZ of the same price range, it simply cannot be compared.
It has not presented the slightest problem after many recordings and hours of continuous operation, while I do not notice any decrease in performance. It combines speed and reliability.
However, with an additional 5€ (prices as of 17/10/2017), you can buy the Samsung EVO 850 250GB, which is a better choice and has a longer warranty period.
A reliable disk that is very good in terms of value for money and performance. I have it on my MacBook Pro 2011 model and despite the time I have had it, it continues to be fast and efficient.
I have had it for 4 years! It has not shown a decrease in performance and its speed is satisfactory! The only thing I regret is not buying a larger capacity disk!
High-quality disk from a company that specializes and pioneers in digital storage, recently acquired by the industry giant Western Digital for 20 billion dollars.
I have had him for 11 months. Fast as promised. During this time, he did not lose his performance, he remained as I got him. He is a pretty good choice for an SSD and that's why I haven't gotten another one for comparison
On sale for €119.
Replaced a Samsung 1TB (ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB). The startup and operation speed of Lightroom 5.7 & Photoshop CS6 literally skyrocketed, on the same i3 with 8 GB RAM. Highly recommended.
